What is Bulk Rate? BulkRate is a semi-wholesale system with items priced separately from retail. When you use bulk rates, a flat $1.70 registered air mail fee will automatically be added to your cart to ensure delivery of package. While BulkRate's intention is to offer cheaper prices when you buy in bulk, because it is priced separately it on occassions show a higher than retail price. That's why we ask you to enter BULKRATE as a coupon code to manually activate the rates. You can always opt not to use the bulk rates. Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: This is a very well manufactured copy of common airsoft and real gun reflex sights. It appears to have decent fit and finish and has a well pronounced dot and came with a spare battery allen wrenches and cover
Cons: Does not automatically dim like $300 models and lens appears to be glued in with adhesive as apposed to retained by the metal hood and the on off swith appears very pedestrian, definately not water proof! Not sure it's not an LED as apposed to a real laser diode.
Other: If I get it to hold zero and adjustment during the test. I'll buy more but I bet it's a great airsoft accessory!
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: Nice small dot, really a laser diode inside, small and compact design (47mm long!), nice dichroic mirror (reflects part of red, but transmits the other colors)
Cons: Mine has parallax issues (+/- 10 millirad at the sides) and the dot smeares out near the top edge.
Brightness not adjustable (but brightness is OK).
Other: Nice red dot, but with cons (mainly the parallax issues).
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: The appearance of these is pro. Apart from the micro switch on the back it is difficult to tell these apart from a $400 professional red dot scope. The rail mount is absolutely rock solid - once mounted, this will not move, break off, or come undone.
Cons: I ordered three of these. Two of the lasers worked perfectly: nice bright red dots. One was dismally weak and the red dot could hardly be seen in a darkened room, let alone in daylight. Speaking of which, even the bright ones I got aren't much use in bright sunlight; but for the purpose of making your weapon of choice look tacticool, these do the job. :)
Other: Get one to look cool or get basic functionality. But if your (real) life depends on accurate targeting in all lighting conditions, value yourself and invest in a *real* tactical sight, k? :)
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: - much cheaper as compared to others
- looks professional
- light and compact
- fits 20mm rails perfectly
Cons: - red dot not that visible when used outdoors during the day
- on/off switch could have been better (but can't really complain for this price)
Other: - can't really tell how durable it is as i only have it for a week, but it should hold pretty well
- get this if you want a basic, light and cheap laser sight . . . or simply for that tacticool factor =)
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: -micro switch on the back -picatiny rail -lightweight -small size -have "Docter", "American Defense", "Made in USA" written on the sides.
Cons: -Brightness not adjustable! sometimes it is too bright - has a significant parallax issues + / - 0.5 centimeters apart. Point strongly smeared around the top edge. (it's very bad) -Build Quality is not very good, but to use does not meter.
Other: Build for airsoft as a copy of real gun reflex sights. I think it is possible to use, but not professionally. More as a decoration.
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: Nice price. Docter branded. Well build. Very simple item. Looks like pro. Once zeroed do what it is designed for. Holds zero on airsoft and light firearms like 9mm handguns. Great for close distances. Airguns and light firearms actually does not have a long range. So it fits them just fine.
Cons: Not found any cons. It is what it is. If you use it properly then you should not as well.
Other: Will order more for re-sell. My customers grow in interest about it.
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: It's a good little sight for small caliber weapons but not for the big guns. Comes with the battery installed and a spare. Decent instructions included. Well padded box. Easy to install and all tools included with sight.
Cons: My mistake was putting this on my 12 gauge. Every time I fired it would be knocked out of adjustment. There is no brightness adjustment. The dot is very bright and quite large.
Other: On a .22 rifle or airsoft this sight would be nice. Good value for shooters on a budget.
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: -Simple to use
-Small and light
-Red dot is very bright even in bright sunlight
-Very Tacticool
-Nice packaging and included accessories
-Price
Cons: -Parallax issues
-Build quality isnt the best but it's solid enough
Other: A must for any Nerf enthusiast!
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: - Light Weight
- Great look
- Simple to use
- great to mount on scope
- Fantastic for AirSoft purpose
- Fast fog clearing
Cons: - No brightness adjustment
- Not for real gun
- Parallax issues
Other: Easy to mount, adjust, use and a really good price!
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: The red dot allows for quick both eye open target acquisition, which is super handy to have in a CQB situation. It also looks legit, with proper markings (for the most part). Switch is tactile and easy to see if its on or not. The cover is nice to have to keep dust and scratches off of the lens.
Cons: Very hard to adjust. It has a very limited adjustment range. Reticle also ghosts like crazy if you are looking at the wrong angle. Has a wandering zero unless you screw the security screws way down. Then still I worry that it moves
Other: hit and miss
