0.6" LCD Portable Non-Contact Infrared Thermometer - White (-50~220°C Range)

Pros: Compact, lightweight. Can measure some temperature +-1° comparing to the ordinary thermometer.

Cons: Not accurate sometimes. Show about 50-60°C on a boiling water, while the another model (http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.41473, but bought in another place) shows 98°C. There is no backlight. Replacing batteries is complicated, the battery holder is not of a good quality (terminal was broken soon, so i was to resolder it). Spare batteries are welcome - it drains a set of batteries in a week even if not used. I'm shocked. I have changed the batteries about 4 times in a month.

Other: I don't like it and a wouldn't suggest to buy it to anybody. You'd better get an http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.41473 - it is larger and some more expensive, but it is BETTER.

Pros: It is compact and easy.

Cons: It show random temperature of something: It can display 55 degrees Celsius or 23 degrees temperature of lively and healthy human body. It can be 150C hot water, and at the same time 70 degrees of boiling sugar syrup. It change data error every turn off/turn on, if you wait one minute and repeat the experiment, item will show VERY different result of measurement. But it show similar values of temperature for one surface. It can't display true temperature!!!!

Other: Do not buy it!

Pros: It's light and easy to use, shows temperature without touching the object. That's what it's supposed to do.
By doing that it's fast and quite accurate if you know how to handle it.

- faster than normal thermometers

Cons: Measured temperature depents strongly on the distance between object and sensor. So you have to practice and find out the "right" distance to the object.
You can't measure hot water or meal from above because the window mists.
- very distance-dependant results
- steam distorts measurment
- a bit too expensive for it's sensor quality

Other: Useful for measuring room temperature and object temperature from the side, NOT from above!

Pros: -Very portable -Small. -Easy to use. -Seems to be precise. -No need to read any instructions. -Very easy to learn. -Fast response.

Cons: -One lasing point wouldn't be much. -a "beap" would be nice as well.

Other: A very Good one.
