Pros: This flash light is very cheap. The case is small and very usefull.

Cons: * The quality is bad.
* The water resistance is very very bad, since there are no water rings and the plastic lens is not glued to case.
* The battery cover is not closed when the batteries are inserted in the battery cartridge.
* The flashlight does not have a driver, therefore the brightness depends on freshness of battery.
* No additional radiator for LED, therefore I do not recommend to use this headlamp for a long time.
* Noname LED is used.

Other: The body of this flashlight can be used in the hand-made headlamp. It is necessary to do a water resistance and change the driver and LED.

Pros: For the price you cannot go wrong. I use it while fishing at night and have had no problems with it yet. I use rechargeable batteries in it and they seem to last quite awhile.

Cons: This product is in NO WAY watertight. After installing the batteries the case will not close completely, there is a small opening around the battery compartment. I put it around my head and wear a baseball cap so it is under the brim of the hat, so even if it was to start raining it wouldn't get wet.

Other: This is a cheap headlamp with a high,low and red beam. If I wanted a nice headlamp I would go but one, but for this price if something ever happend to mine I would most likely replace it with this same one.

Pros: Seems to have an Edison (now Edixon) KLC8 emitter mounted on a star inside. Quite bright for its size. Nice beam pattern. Has a wide bright hotspot - great for closeup tasks like repairing things or walking around. The angle of the light is adjustable in 5 steps (0° to 90°)

Cons: Build quality is sub par and there are dirt and scratches on the lens. Heatsinking is only the star but should be ok unless using it with Lithium batteries. Smelly button (and I guess not very health-friendly). So be sure to cover that button with some tape. Even your finger smells after pushing the button several times.

Other: Don't care if its watertight. Much brighter than expected. Great for closeup tasks because of the fairly wide beam. I used it more often than I thought I would.

Pros: One of only few that contain a red light for illuminating in a tactical setting.

Red Led still works even if you run out of juice, useful if you need to read a map, however you cant see contour lines so a blue Led would have been a good addition.

Cons: Uses AAA which arent as long lasting efficient as larger batteries.
Switch may be too easy to hit, because Ive run out of juice before, or it just got to cold at night.

Other: Good buy as a red capable headlamp

Pros: First of all this is cheap. It is really bright with alcaline AAA batteries. Also two levels fo light can be ok for most of us. I like the red led for third mode. You may try to use AAA rechargables. I bought this for my car and small repairs under my car.

Cons: It is hard to close battery cap, but when it is done you are fine with this head light. Plastic quality is not so good. Actually molding quality is low so is the final product.

Other: For this much money, this well worth of what you pay here.

Pros: Extremely bright considering the price. Nice compact design, takes easy-to-find AAA batteries. Hi/low/red modes. Adjustable lamp angle. Single LED.

Cons: Build quality COULD be better but for $5.99 who cares? Button is off center and sometimes hard to locate but for $5.99 who cares?

Other: If you need a decent bright LED headlamp that takes AAA batteries this is the one to get. I have several others that were all more expensive and only one of those is brighter - and it cost $15. This one is cheap enough that if you break or lose it you already bought 3 extra.

Pros: Head band is same quality as other headlamps. The actual circuit and the LED seems good. Inclusion of the red LED is a good backup for emergency when the batteries are almost drained.

Cons: Shoddy quality control. My unit came without the battery pack screw. It is a big screw with a plastic head, looking at the pictures on DX. How can someone miss it during quality check, I don't know.
Bad reflector and lense, results in a slanted beam of light and uneven throw.

Other: This is way overpriced, should be costing around 2.99 looking at the build and utility.

Pros: Bright, compact, inexpensive. May be used for all activities except caving (but can be used as secondary (not backup!) light source). May be easily modified to suit user's odd needs.

Cons: Doesn't turn off with single push (5...10 seconds after the mode is selected) - have to cycle through all modes. After turning off the bright light, it's easy to leave small LED turned on. Useless small red LED, but it may be easily replaced with 5mm white one.

Other: Excellent choice, especially for those who know how to use the soldering iron.

Pros: Does the trick. Works the way it should, and it fits my head and/or hard hat.
Brighter than the simple Walmart LED headlamp that was replaced by this one.

Cons: Build quality is poor. My headlight fell apart within a week of use. First part that failed was the crappy switch. After that, the switch simply fell off. Then soon after that the whole apparatus came to pieces.

Other: Not a bad option for the price. If you have a few extra bucks, I'd heavily suggest you get the next step up.

Pros: Who needs all those silly modes like SOS and STROBE or 2+ brightness levels. This is no nonsense, High and Low. The red led is perfect for little tasks around your tent without blowing your night adapted eyes out. The red light is perfect when you need to conserve battery power. 3 AAA's isn't so bad. Just use the plastic battery cases they sell here at DX and you have spares at your leisure. Rubber o-ring seals the battery compartment.

Cons: The case material is a bit flimsy. The lens cover is a little bit dirty and pops off if you drop it. The red led is ringy.

Other: I needed a headlamp for my emergency kits that I'm building. I needed to get something in place because I'm starting from 0. So I can't just buy 1, I need 8! 2 for work, 2 for the cars, 2 for the main bug out bags and 2 for placement around the house just in case the lights go out. With a child, you need to have your hands free and these do the trick. Maybe when I have extra money, I'll buy name brand models. These are perfect to get me started.
