1.2" LCD Non Contact Digital InfraRed Thermometer with Laser Sight (-50°C ~ 380°C)

Pros: Pretty solid feel to it, seems well built. You can turn the laser pointer on/off. The display is backlit (toggle), for use in dark areas. Comfortable to work with.

Cons: At a distance of a meter, the measurement area is fairly large (a circle with a 12.5cm diameter), so you really need to get pretty close to measure, e.g., individual components or other small objects. Also, the precision in the temperature measurements isn't great. While the readout will give you .1 degree increments, it's often off by 1-2 degrees, as measured with a regular (contact) thermometer.

Other: If you're looking for a cheap and still pretty good non-contact thermometer, this one seems like a good deal. I bought mine for use primarily in the kitchen when using a contact thermometer isn't an option, so I don't need super accurate measurements. After trying it out, my conclusion is that it works like a charm.

Pros: Excellent device. Works fine. Very conveniently situated in the hand. Naturally, the error indication depends on the distance to the target. Includes an automatic shut-off after 20 seconds to save battery power. For guidance on the subject applied a single-point laser sighting. There is a display light blue. There is a switch degrees Celsius / Fahrenheit.

Cons: Lack of complete cover and battery.

Pros: Its accurate, well built, looks and feels great! I checked it on boiling water and it read 99.6c so its spot on really. It's pretty durable too and looks professional. Well worth the money.

Cons: noting significant that i have come across yet. Its hard to check the temperature of a flame though because the beam goes straight through it and reads the temperature of whats under or behind the flame.

Other: Its practical and fun. Handy to check engine oil temperature in your car or how hot your oven is!

Pros: - Cheap (It costs at least 3x more here in Brazil)
- Accurate (Unless you need the exactly right temperature, it will do his job)
- Great build quality (It overcomes my expectations)
- Actually it has a nice look (Better than the photos)
- Even dummies can use (Auto power on/off. Press the button and it shows the temperature. Very simple)
- You might turn the laser on/off.

Cons: - Uses 9V battery. It's kind of expensive outside the DX. So I recommend you to buy more than one battery together.
- It's yellow. I don't like yellow.

Other: If you have 20 bucks, buy it. You will have fun and, eventually, found that it's really useful.

Pros: I have got this thermometer for 2 days. Mine came with a free battery inside package. I have measured lots of things and I can say it is more than accurate than you think. A German made professional room ambient thermometer was displaying 22.3 C and this infrared one measured that 22.2 C ( I think 0.1 C was the surface difference).

Cons: Placing the battery is a bit hard. You have to squeze the top foam in the battery compartment.

Pros: Owing this device during 3 days. I have a chance to compare it with more expensive thermometer (about 43$) SKU 26611 bought on DX for my mate. This very one is much smaller with more higher build quality. And seems that it more accurate in indication than SKU 26611: using both simultaneously and the small and cheaper one shows the same temperature as room thermometer. Second one and more expensive shows 1C degree less. Unexpectedly I've discovered that this item have two bonuses: 1. the higher level of it's measurements not 380 but 550 C degrees 2. it's laser spot attracts attention of my cat completly - he can jump and run all over the room truing to catch it nearly half an hour without brakes .

Cons: Notice some scratches on thermometer lens. Don't know will it affect it's measuring abilities or not?

Other: Cheap price doesn't mean less quality. Great product with more that reasonable price. Thinking about buying another couple of this very thermometers as presents to some of my friends.

Pros: A great tool. Excellent accuracy. Inexpensive. Quality. I am developing LED lamps and lanterns. I like this tool very helpful for the work. As far bask LEDs. What is the allowable temperature. Batteries not included. You need to enable the battery package. Can measure body temperature with a small error.

In the engine the car, tires, beer, wine, drinks , foods, frozen or hot foods.
Good also for measuring temperature of the processor of the computer ,motherboard and video.

Pros: Good plastic quality.
It will not break after extensive use, I hope.

Cons: In is not acurate.
In temperatures in range 0-10C I see difference from real temperature like -+4 C. But what is bigger problem. The difference is not stable. I measured something that had to have 9C, it showed 4C and after 10 minutes measuring somewhere I returned and measured same thing and it showed 7C. Next day I measured room with temperature 7C and some objects had 2C some -0,5C.
It has internal temperature sensor, that is correct, there must be something that measure temperature of sensor, but together it do not work right, because when I measure in room temperature 23C parts of furniture that have also 23C it shows something in distance +-1C, then I cooled this device to aprox. 10C and the same object in the room was like 26C, it is +3C.

Other: I used it for measuring temperature of heating pipes. I need to see difference in temperature and this unit does this job, because in short term it it enough stable and even I do not know real temperature of pipes, I know that one of them is 2C below rest and I can make correction in heating water flow.
