What is Bulk Rate? BulkRate is a semi-wholesale system with items priced separately from retail. When you use bulk rates, a flat $1.70 registered air mail fee will automatically be added to your cart to ensure delivery of package. While BulkRate's intention is to offer cheaper prices when you buy in bulk, because it is priced separately it on occassions show a higher than retail price. That's why we ask you to enter BULKRATE as a coupon code to manually activate the rates. You can always opt not to use the bulk rates. If you are looking for wholesale prices please feel free to contact us.

Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: I was looking of a way to hook up my small P&S camera on top of the DSLR so it would record video while taking action shots (during sports). This is exactly what I was looking for (although it can be used to mounth anything that uses the tripod thread, on the hotshoe). Seems well built (metal), but you don't want TOO much weight on it - not sure how strong hot shoes are and how much weight they would support.
Cons: Balljoint on the top part, that allows the item mounted on top to swivel, could be made better, i.e. could be made of a rough spehere, rather than smooth - although the screw is metal and it's pointed; if it was rough surface you wouldn't need to tighten it so hard.
Other: Practical (for me) to put a small camera running video while shooting with DSLR.

Pros: Again the price and the quality. Price is not bad, but for what you get is much.
Cons: Build quality. It get stuck easily. the screw on top it goes not really good with my Zoom H1.
Other: Look for another product with same price or maybe something which can cost more but you get a better quality.
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: All metal mini ball head that was perfect to replace the plastic ones on my LED lights. Also great for mounting a microphone or some other things on your DSLR
Cons: It's a bit rough, meaning the ball doesn't flow or move as easily as on a much more expensive mini ball head from Manfrotto and others, but what do you expect for this price.
Other: Great for smaller and lighter things, not so great for the heavier things
