1.5" LCD Cordless Handheld A4 Scanner with USB + TF Card Slot (2*AA)

Pros: This review is posted the first day DX offered this item, but I already own one. (Sorry DX you were late on this one.) - Anyway this thing is supertiny and scans GREAT images. It runs from standard batteries (thank you for that!) and DOES NOT REQUIRE a computer! IT scans directly onto MicroSD as a JPG image of 150 or 300dpi (setting), it is EASY to use even though you must "swipe it" across the page to scan in a steady fashion. (comes naturally). Just push the button and hold for 2 seconds to turn on, tap it again to start scanning, sweep the scanner across the page, and tap switch to end scanning.

Cons: NONE. Seriously NONE. ok- i will be creative: It isn't waterproof... And it cant scan 3d items or heavily textured surfaces.

Other: Great Item, if you scan anything flat, get it...

Pros: It is the only portable stand-alone scanner I know of. It works well if you have a hard and flat surface to scan. The sensor gives out images of fairly good quality. The device actually warn you when an error occurs.

Cons: The scan quality is not very good when it comes to keeping perspectives and scales (bad if you want to scan maps). Also I get error messages rather frequently. (Both of these things will probably get better when I get more experienced using the product though.)

Other: If you need to scan things on the move and the quality isn't too big an issue I recommend this product. (If quality is importent you might be better off with a portable flat-bed scanner and a laptop) Also if you need to scan a document that you just can't fit into a flatbed scanner this might be something for you!

Pros: It's very lightweight and easy to carry in your laptop bag.

Cons: A bit hard to use, but after a few scans you get the hang of it.
Often fails while scanning (the err light comes on) and you have to scan again ( maybe it's me who don't know how to use it good enough).

Other: Nice gadget but the price is too high.

Pros: Works just fine. The quality of scanned images is really good, just like with a flatbed one, much better than I expected. It's portable, so you can go somewhere and scan documents there easy, no need of a computer or even wall outlet nearby. No need to move the scanner smoothly, it detects the movement speed itself and scans correct.

Cons: It's not easy to scan a bound document, staple makes impossible the scanner to pass through it without the image to be distorted. The same thing happens if you want to scan a document like passport without margins, just like you do with a flatbed scanner. Scanning of a soft surface (like a sofa, for example) make the result better, but anyway it's not good for such tasks.

Other: Good and portable scanner in case you don't want to scan documents and stapled papers. In other case one should better buy a flatbed one.

Pros: I'm surprised with this scanner. The scanned image is good, without errors, even if you don't scan at the same speed all the time. It's small enough to carry with you.

Cons: It's not so easy to keep the device "on track", but it seems to correct the errors. It's a bit dificult to learn how to proceed and the manual doesn't tell you about the white balancing process, that is described in another paper. But these "cons" are not so serious.

Other: I strongly recommend the purchase of this device for people that need it. You will not be disappointed.
