1000mA Car Cigarette Powered USB Adapter/Charger (DC 12V/24V)

Pros: I was expecting this to quite large, but when i got it and pulled it out of the deal extreme envelope i was surprised to find that it was MUCH smaller than i expected it to be! The silver trim at the top is actually a pull handle that you can flip up to help you pull the device out of the socket. It works extremely well since this device sits fairly low to the socket, which may make it difficult to pull without the handle.

Cons: none that i can find at the moment, there is a green power led which shows you that the device has power.. wish it was red.. but thats more of a preference than a con.

Other: i am tempted to purchase more.. but i dont have need of more than one! Well designed!

Pros: Small - fits well in dashboard. Plenty of power to operate/charge any USB powered devices I have Well made, and looks "quality". I'm amazed at what DX keeps coming up with... Typical DX FAST shipping, and value.

Cons: Nothing at all!

Pros: After getting the first one, I was so impressed with the quality, I bought another one - something I should have done in the first place. This works great! Charges my telephone (using another DX item - a charge cable) and runs my TomTom GPS at the same time with a 4-port hub. 1 amp seems plenty of power to do this, and the devices show htey are charging. If you are looking for a USB adapter for your car, this is the one. Tiny, it will fit anywhere... WELL MADE and looks good in the dashboard... Excellent price, and amazingly FAST shipping!

Pros: 1000 mA (1 Amp) output. Very good for iPhone 3GS, iPod touch 3G, and Palm Pre. Small, portable. Green LED indicator.

Other: Smaller than I thought. Fits well on most vehicles. It's 1000 mA, more than most other USB car chargers rated at 700 mA, enabling faster charges on most items. Works with high power devices such as the Palm Pre, Garmin GPS systems, iPhone 3GS and iPod touch 3G.

Pros: Good piece.. it works.. i think that should be a little bit cheapper, but is ok, it has a green led when it's on. I use it to recharge my cellphone while i'm driving. It's really a really small piece.. IT has a little silver trim on the top to help the user to pull it out of the socket.

Cons: the building quality is a little bit poor..

Pros: I bought this mainly to use it with my iPhone 3GS. Many car USB charger do not work with iPhone 3GS but this one works very well and it starts charging right away when it is connected. Most suitable application is to provide continuous charging while using power extensive apps such as GPS navigation apps that drained battery like crazy before you reach your destination. With this charger and some tweak(read other thoughts) I can use GPS navigation and get the phone charged while on the move. Of course the price is very affordable price. Small and very neat compare to many other big ugly USB car charger.

Cons: One of the pin was a little loose and it drop out after a while. This caused the handle to drop later. You can put a tape to cover the pin so that it wont drop out. (check my photo so you know what i mean) I dont really need the handle because i always plug it in my car. Have no need to remove it so far. Furthermore, the "head" of the charger is big enough to allow you to pull out easily. otherwise, dont push it all the way in when you insert it. other than this the build quality is solid. Shining black color body match most car interior very well.

Other: Very affordable, neat charger.

Pros: This is just the most perfect product you can buy for your car. I guess most of you got chargers for cellphones, ipod, GPS and so on which are big. With this charger you only need the USB-cable for every product and that's it!

Cons: The only bad thing I can say about it was that my cellphone wouldn't charge. But I think this was a problem with my cellphone, not this product.

Other: I can really recommend this product! I have used it for 3 months and I'm very satisfied!

Pros: Very small, fits right in the lighter socket of my Ford Focus 2001. I had concerns that it will not fit in as the lighter socket in the Ford Focus is a bit recessed. Tested the charge time with iPhone 3GS and it looks the same as the Apple original wall charger. It charges 1% in ~1m,20 sec.

Cons: It seems not to have a fuse, at least if it has one it is not replaceable. For the price it is sold it is best to get a few as spares.

Other: This is a very useful must have product. For this price bye more than one. As it is a good small gift to friends.

Pros: This adapter is much smaller than it looks in the photos. It has a switching regulator that is rated > 1000mA (@12V) so there won't be the nasty meltdown experienced with cheaper adapters.

Cons: If your car doesn't turn off the socket when the ignition is off, then the LED (and quiescent current of the regulator) will drain your battery slowly.

Other: If it fits your car, you can't go wrong.

Pros: It works great! Monster output of 1 amp! I can't think of any USB device that needs more than 1 amp. Looks awesome, almost looks like a built in feature to your car. Has a cool green LED on it. Has a nice little handle for pulling it out of the socket, seeing as it almost goes flush into the socket the handle is need when pulling it out.

Cons: Feel a little cheap. The housing could be stronger. The little handle could be stronger.

Other: Buy 3 so you get the bulk discount, I promise you your friend will want one you can turn around and sell it and make you money back and then some!
