100mW 405nm Blue-Violet/Royal Purple Laser Module (3V)

Pros: The module is well constructed. Appears sturdy and features epoxy resin between module and first brass fitting, unlike some other modules I've bought from DX. This enhances the durability of the unit.

Cons: The laser is not focusable. The secondary brass screw on fitting has no lens, the aperture of the beam is large and it will burn shit all. Distance is also pretty dismal. Only buy this if you like purple or blue as a colour, and do not care about a powerful functional worthwhile laser. I wouldn't buy this in hindsight even for such a cheap price.

Other: Don't buy it unless it is because you simply like the colours. Go for the 100mW green laser which is actually capable of doing some cool stuff.

Pros: Purple laser! Neat color! Great for drawing on glow in the dark stuff. Especially at night, this has a really neat effect.

Cons: It can't burn anything. The dot isn't round. I have no way of measuring, but I don't think this is 100mW. I wish DX sold disassembled 200mW focusing lasers...

Other: Beam isn't visible unless it is pitch black or with fog.
