Pros: Extremely compact size makes it a an elegant part of your TV set. Apart from the size it is very durable, no heating at all even 4 hours of Full HD watching. Fast Menus and browsing. it does not take even 3 seconds to gear up an recognise a 1,5 TB usb Disk. No glitches on MKV( both 1080P and 720 P) divx and xvid playback. Awesome playback picture quality. Support DTS sound format so you don't have to conver your DTS movies to AC3 format.
Cons: It would be wonderful to see a optical audio output for sound systems. Does not support Turkish character set for subtitles. no information about firmware upgrade on the intruction manual or diyomate web page. I have contacted manufacturer support line, they responded but could not help.
Other: I have ordered 21 pcs for my colleques in my company, from 3 colors( hence different SKUs) and I guess I will order more in the coming months.

Pros: Support rmvb, rm, mkv, avi, and mp4 video files. Package comes with a HDMI cable. The media player works quite well when playing the file, and would resume playback by choosing the file you previously played.
Cons: The media player is lighter than the HDMI cable. The remote control is bigger than the media player. The media player would not automatically resume the playback, once you turn on the player. The remote control uses lithium coin battery (CR2025).
Other: This is a good player but it is very light and feel very fragile.

Pros: The pros .. Well to start off its tiny. A lot of people here have said that and when I got it I just realized how small it is. Its a freaking ninja! hide it anywhere about the TV .. The video output is great to. You can go high def with the HDMI (included!! bonus) cable or you can stay lo fi (with the component cable included as well!) The great thing is I can plug in my External Hard Drive (tried my 500Gig, 1.5tb and 2tb drives and they all work!) and watch directly from there. Plays what it says, and pretty well!
Cons: As for cons .. Subtitles are a bit 'wide' for my tv (but basically i loose the first letter and last letter, but that's more a res issue more than anything else). Some FLV files it doesn't like .. but thats turned out to be only one or two. So meh .. really ...
Other: Bottom line is it does what it says, is tiny, great price, simple to use (the menu is pretty easy to use). You really can't go wrong for the price. If your wanting a Media player to watch your MKV and Divx files on .. this is the one .. You'll be hard pressed to find something better for the price.

Pros: It's as small as a credit card and as thin as a cellphone, but lighter than the last one;
Played all media I had (wma, avi, mkv, mp4). But I had an issue with one format (see "Cons");
Plays subtitles .SRT multiline, with accents (Portuguese), combined to .mp4 and .mkv file types. I haven't tested other subtitle formats yet;
No heating problem that I could notice unusual;
HDMI 1.3 included.
Cons: x.264 movies: I noticed that all downloaded x.264 movies (720p or 1080p - .mp4) played only their first 1h30m ~ 1h50m, never the whole movie. From the beginning, it plays the movie fine, suddenly it stops, returning to menu (file list). I tryed to use "Go to" function to set any time beyond the crashing point, it just won't work.
On my computer it doesn't happend, I can watch it from end to end. To workaround it, I have to download the movies encoded by Xvid to make it to work. According to the movies I've downloaded so far, this player does not (fully) support x.264 (H.264) encoded movies to a .MP4 file (or container). I've got fully functional "The Social Network" (1080p/x.264/AAC/2h07m) encoded to a .MKV file.
Remote: Awefull! It isn't intuitive (see on photos where the "Play" button is);
Subtitles: size cannot be changed. Three colors only: white, red and blue. As a matter of fact, you'll see s!@#$%hit selecting red or blue.
Menu: Audio "Selsect" ?
HDMI cable is heavier than the unit.
Other: I'm very satisfied with it. Highly recommended!

Pros: This is the best player of all the ones I own, including a Western Digital. It plays all kind of video formats, including: mkv, rmvb, avi, etc. with all the usual resolutions.
It is small and easy to connect.
It has sd slot so you can play files from an sd card too.
Cons: The only problem so far, that might be solved via firmware update (I would appreciate if anyone knows if there is a firmware update for this) is that I want to connect it via hdmi to my projector and connect the audio to my amplifier via composite audio cable but if hdmi is on no audio comes out of the composite cable.
Other: Basically, it is a great player for the price (except for the little problem with the audio commented before).
Network connection would be a bonus but I understand diyomate has other players with ethernet connectivity, the problem is that I dont know if the chipset included in those players is as good as the one in this one.

Pros: This is a good player for the price. Worked with the most of my video files format. The output image of movies and pictures are great. My tv set is a plasma 50" hdtv ready not fullhd and the output video is still perfect specially of mkv720p files. So I think it will be great on fullhd 1080p (not tested).
Cons: I tried to connect the player on my Optoma projector with a 10 meters hdmi cable. I don't know if there is a limitation on big hdmi cables or some other similar issue but it didn't work. I will try to connect adjusting the setup of both player and projector and I'll post the experience later.
Other: I am really happy with the gadget. Highly recommended.

Pros: Great device, very fast and useful. Only tested with AVI. Menu it's easy to navigate. Subtitles accept accents like Á Ç Â Ã.
Cons: Remote Control buttons placements not the best, maybe I need to get Used. Remote control came with two buttons that was not working, Power button and Play/Pause button, I opened and cleaned the circuit board now it's working as intend. Subtitles, you can change colors, options are (white,Red,Blue) there is no yellow option if you gonna use Red or Blue subtitles you will probably get a headache
Other: Great deal.

Pros: Great HD player for 50 USD - plays most of my media library formats. Audio quality is also good - clear sound no background noise. Works perfectly with my 0,5TB 2,5" USB powered Lacie HDD and any of my USB sticks
Cons: Only con to my mind is that if you switch between output formats - like from HD to component video - you loose picture - so you need to switch exactly to format that you will be able to see on new dispaly.
Other: Any way I recomend this player as cheap alternative to WD players which costs 3 times more in my country, of course for low price you don't get some extras as internet suport, but as it was not my priority I am fully satisfied with it.

Pros: This works absolutely brilliantly. It has played everything we have thrown at it, works reliably, HDMI or Video output, all kinds of resolutions, all playback is smooth, relatively easy to use.
Very small and light, about the size of a credit card!
Cons: Because it is so small and light, it's hard to get to stay put when cables pull it out of place. Bit of blu-tack will solve this problem though!
The remote layout is pretty bizarre but you get used to it.
Other: Bargain. Buy it if you want an HD-Capable media player!
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: Great build quality, light and small, a clean and fast interface, easy to navigate, supported all the formats I have tried (including RMVB and AVI). The price is excellent, things like this here in Brazil cost about four times the price, i'm glad i bought this player.
Cons: A little too light, and the remote control have a strange design, with chinese word written in the buttons and the english words bellow, but not a problem at all.
Other: The best deal i have done in DX. You really should buy it.
