10W 700LM LED Emitter Metal Plate - White (10V~11V)

Pros: * Easy to mount * Soldering wires to the leads was much easier than soldering to metal core PCB * Thermal impedance seems to be fairly low, which means that light output should degrade slowly

Cons: * Unknown manufacturer and no datasheet * Optics (lens, reflector) are not readily available, if you wish to focus the light beam

Other: There is a risk when using electronics that are not from a reputable brand. Initial results are at least as good as expected. I will probably invest in more of these LEDs, and convert more of my outdoor lights.

Pros: The "next level" lightsource for designers, inventors and for other development. The light seems pure white in all directions. Can not replace Cree's on stars without altering several things but that makes it for other applications maybe more suitable. The 11V 1000mA and the better dissipation og the nine chips is better than single 3W chips technique 3in serie 3 strings parallel tells that 9 80 lumen/watt emitters work together, well spead over the coolingplate and about 170 degrees radiationfield, so a hemisheric emission characteristic.

Cons: Not really, only for making lightbeams less suitable

Other: Nice new product, emits a HUGE amount of solarcolour light and a very good unit to update your home to completely LED lighted. It easilly outclasses a 100 Watt incandecent lightor a 20 Watt energt saving light with far better spectrum, because white leds produces many more colours dan fluorescent lamps do.

Pros: Huge LED with 3 chains of 3 LEDs each. Needs about 10-11.5V to power it to it's 1A max. With the manufacturer-rated 70lm/W not the latest tech, but pretty good price. You might wanna look into Cree XM-L aswel, although that one will need a 3A driver. Light temperature is cool, but not very blue - between bluish white and neutral I would say. Spill is OK.

Cons: I haven't used it for longer than a minute so far, but I guess it will run pretty hot, so prepare a big heat-sink.

Other: It's bright and cheap and easy to mount - will redo my ceiling-light with some of those...
