Pros: Looks great. Lots of colour. I love the different modes.

Cons: Extremely thin (fragile) wires. A bead of hot-melt glue inside the controller is supposed to keep them from breaking off. The glue is poorly applied and has not adhered to the PCB or the wires. So, the wires break off on their own, and repairing them is a bit delicate. Best to re-do the glue before the wires break.

Other: Very nice-looking lights, but not for the faint-of-heart.

Pros: Creates very cool effects with pleasing colors. The overall size is pretty good and as a while it is light-weight.

Cons: The main power cord is very short and VERY thin. I'm afraid to even step on it! As another had mentioned, the wires that come out of the control box are VERY thin and do rip out easily! If you have a glue gun, shoot as much as you can into the wire ports. There is no way this unit s UL/CE certified as the case proclaims. There is no internal fuse - nor is there any kind voltage regulation. The LEDs are wired in series - if one stops, they all stop - and that also means its not a low voltage going through, I measured 110 volts between the common wire and each color's wire! The plastic sheath protecting each LED's soldering/wires is fairly loose and unsealed - DO NOT expose to moisture or take outside! You risk shock or shorting. Because the sheath on the LEDs is loose, they may slide around on the wire disturbing the honeycomb look.

Other: Buy it if the environment you want to use it in is dry and free of little monsters that like to pull on things or put them in their mouths.
