12V 1A Regulated Switching Power Supply (110~220V)

Pros: - Has inner fuse (so it's safe to connect it without an external one). - Metallic case. - Has ground-chasis pin. - The PCB has a cut that isolates input and output sections. Only 3 components connect each side: the main transformer, an optocoupler and what seems to be a capacitor. - The 3 way connector is 110-220v input. The pin more closer to the center is ground (at least in mine), can be tested to have continuity to the metal case. - The 2 way connector is 12v output. The pin closer to the center seems to be +12v and the other seems to be ground (I don't see it to be connected to the case, so it's a different, isolated ground from the ground at the input). - My tester measured: 12,02v without any load. 12,01v with 350mA load. - Has a led to knew when it's working.

Cons: Case is cheap. - The holes in the case didn't match the screwes that need to be adjusted, but nothing really hard to work it out (worst case: remove the top of the case, adjust, and put the case back on). - It only has 1 screw to fix the PCB to the case, and 2 hooks, so the PCB moves a bit. Nothing that can't be fixed with some glue ;) - One of the hooks is too close to R3 (the led's resistor) and might do short circuit. If you want to connect the case to the output's ground it may turn the led off. If you want to isolate output and input grounds, you better put something to isolate R3 pins from case.

Other: I'll definitively buy a couple more.

Pros: Very nice power supply. The output voltage can be ajusted above and below 12V by a trimpot. There is a green led that indicates power on. The case has lots of cooling holes.

Cons: At $5,00 It is not so pricy but could be cheaper. The size could be smaller too.

Other: Just buy it with you need a maximum 1 A current.

Pros: Relatively inexpensive, and a useful product for DIY projects or replacement of power modules. Easy to use, decent (but a bit short) available (nominal) power. There should be no problems with heat dissipation.

Cons: None that I’m aware of, as long as you treat it carefully, because voltage adjustment is a bit fragile and the variable resistor is misaligned with the access hole. Don’t let it exposed if you have kids around, as there are holes and openings (and there is high voltage inside)

Other: Good, although if there was a 24W version for that price ...

Pros: Works very well, does not heat up, and the tension is adjustable and stable. Not bulky and easily removable. In French: Fonctionne tres bien, ne chauffe pas, et la tension est réglable et stable. Pas encombrante et facilement démontable.

Cons: Considering the price ... Nothing wrong. In French: Etant donné le prix... rien a redire.

Other: Cheap and good product. In French: Bon produit, et pas cher.
