12V LED Strip (30-LED 50cm White)

Pros: A great buy to provide light in place of incandescent or fluorescent lamps. Drawing little more than 200 mA at 12 volts it rates about 2.5 watts

Cons: Only con would be if you prefer a warm white light rather than a cool one.

Other: Buy some.

Pros: : This item is still the little gem I discuss in my original review. There maybe a problem however.

Cons: Without cutting the strip open, measurement suggest that inadequate resistors may have been used in the strip costruction.

Other: The simple solution is to add a 5 ohm, 1 watt resistor in the red power wire. Do this and all should be fine.

Pros: I use 2 of them as under cabinet light and they are awesome!! I'll submit photo's shortly

Pros: Sturdy construction which feels quite good quality.

Cons: Not very flexible so this would be ideally used as a straight strip potentially to replace fluroescent tubes. I ordered two strips and one of the strips was faulty with 3 leds that weren't working. I notified DX but they were quick to respond and were happy to replace it.
Not ideal for automotive use out of the box. Would need to add a resistor or a zener diode in series with the strip to avoid blowing up the leds.

Other: These strips look quite nice and put out decent lighting. Would be great for caravans or interior lighting for cars.

Pros: Good quality bright, white light better than a fluorescent tube, but with one third of consumption.

This unit has 2.4W of power, while a tube fluerescente of 8W illuminates less than him.

Cons: The positive pole is NOT identified, both wires are white. This poses a risk, if connected reversed and exceeds the maximum reverse voltage of LEDS; they may be damaged.
Therefore, it is necessary to identify the cable positive, applying a lower voltage, 10V.
The absence of documentation prevents from knowing the maximum voltage ratings, so we do not know if it can be damaged with voltages present in the 12v electrical systems of a car, caravan, boat, which can exceed 14V when charging batteries.

Other: I'm using it to replace 12V fluorescent tubes on my boat.

Pros: - Very Bright
- Well Constructed
- Lightweight

Cons: - Bar came not so flat
- Bar Wires could be Red and Black for easy plug ( Actualty they come in White ( negative ) and Grey ( positive )

Other: Great Bars, I installed then in my kitchen, Light are very bright in WHITE, it´s color temp is like a Xenon-HID 6000k to 8000k. I also upload the photos to DX for publication.

Pros: I haven't the right tools for proper mesurement but I'm pleased with how much light is output. When I told my wife I bought something from the USA, she said "Oh not again!". When I showed what it was, she said "How much ?" "10$" "Why didn't you buy some 3-4 more, it'd be great for the kitchen or somewhere ??!" "!!!"
The bar worked with a +6V gel battery I had in my garage. Couldn't see much difference between 6V and 12V so I wonder if I'll use 12V after all...

Cons: I didn't see the bar was sealed and not flexible at all, I wish I could individually rearrange the LEDs to make a panel. Bah, I'll change my project !

Other: Great buy, DX is simply great for us tinkerers, since the traditional (local) stores continue selling the old generation gadgetery at kidney-breaking prices (LED bulbs and all).
Will probably buy some more when my wife will know that at this price, shipping is included.

Pros: I bought it to create an Ambient Light for my 37 Inch LCD. two stripes on each side creates amazing ambient light in just 30 minuets.
Than to view movies in the dark make your eyes less tired and increase the black in LCD screens.

Cons: it would be nice if the two end of the wires will be longer and with some kind of plug on them.

Other: I will post Image of my LCD screen with new new Ambient light.

Pros: Suitable for backlight of tv etc
packaged nicely, should be a breeze to install.

Cons: Mine was not made with SMD leds but with separate standard 5mm leds. Many have said how bright it is but I don't think it's that bright. Could be I got a b-grade version. or these leds aren't as bright. Just so you know...

Other: Ok for ambient lighting.
1m 60led strip is brighter.

Pros: Nice WHITE not a bluey white, uses next to no power, compared with std bulb of the same brightness, which I would estimate at around a 75 watt 12 volt bulb. Totally water proof, have tested this, have these on the exterior of my caravan, without problem, also on the inside to replace the 8 watt tubes, these are at least 10 times the brightness of them.

Cons: Leads are very short at around 8.5CM, no polarity marking, but misconnection causes no problem and no damage.

Other: Need 12v illumination, buy some, I've bought 4 times these items now, and just placed order for more, yes they really are that good.
