  • Solid construction, but not genuine Apple

    Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)

    Pros: Product is the standard size of an Apple charger. Externally, the printing and build is of good quality. Says that it is an Apple charger on the printing.

    Cons: Internally, evidently not an Apple charger. Contains a piece of metal to add weight. Exposed/worn mains voltage wiring. Grounding pin not connected electrically to PCB. No metal shielding cages as is normal. No Flextronics branded ICs. Infamous "Chong" capacitors.

    Other: Avoid knockoff adapters, unless you live in a house you don't own, work in an office you don't care for, or have a phone you don't like. Fakies are likely to damage at least one of those.
