1300'C Metal Melting Butane Jet Torch (Large)

Pros: Nice feel Good flame Lockable Very hot

Cons: Flicker issue at full throttle: fixed by adjusting strength of flame down
Can these blow up in your hand, leaving a horrible disfiguring burn? I don't think so, but just in case I only use it wearing full body armour.

Other: I love all these Dx torches, very useful. COllect the whole set!

Pros: Perfect size for holding in your hand and working. I use it alot for heat shrink tubing. The extreme temperature is a bonus for working on cleaning up some solder jobs. Somewhat sturdy base. Tested with a 1100c sensor - melted it. So the torch does go past that rating at full flow.

Even comes pre-fueld ready to use

Cons: Flow control is in the base of the unit, when using the standup base/holder its very easy to move the flow setting.

Other: Perfect price and great performance.

Pros: It is large and produces a hot blue flame. Build quality feels good and it is easy to use.

Cons: Nothing major as it does what I want. As already mentioned by others the flame does flicker on the very high setting. It sometimes does not light when you first press the button so you just simply have to press it again. Gas (and flame) can continue for up to a couple of seconds after button has been released.

Other: Recommend if you want a low priced decent sized butane torch.

Pros: - VERY HOT, melts through cans in seconds
- Easy gas adjust at bottom.
- Lights (almost) every time, very relieble.
- Many ways of using it, especially if u have a little pyro in you ;)

Cons: - theres a 'power' switch at the nozle, took me a while to figure that out, but after that, its very easy, and gets even more powerfull :D
- nothing else really, but considdering all the other cheap stuff, this is pretty expensive, but deffinetly worth the money.

Other: awesome thing, get it :)

Pros: Nice long grip so does not burn your hands on extended use. Nicely positioned gas flow control knob which allows flame adjustment. Locking the flame in the on position allows the torch to stand on its own freeing your hands for other work.

Cons: No lock to secure the torch for storage or to keep children from turning the flame on. Base holder should be bigger and heavier as a sturdy base.

Other: If it lasts longer than the SKU.3425 then I'll be a happy camper.

Pros: Very strong flame; I´ve melted aluminum in seconds;
Reliable, turn on every single click;

Cons: The tank seem to be little to the task;
Strass? Not only unnececessary, really kitsch.
O tanque parece um pouco pequeno pra uso contínuo em chama forte;
Os strass nas laterais são desnecessários e meio bregas.

Pros: It made very accurately, the metal base is very handy. It can easyly be locked in "fire" position.
The flame intensity can be switch in very wide range so you can get a really big flame. The gas is flowing in liquid form so it looks like flame thrower :-)
So, good colour, handy form, the flame you like (from classic to flame thrower), big tank. And the price! The thing you must have!

Cons: Maybe a fingertip on the head of my torch. But this is the proof it was made by hands :-)
It is easy to burn something in flame thrower mode.

Other: -

Pros: Handy, easy to manipulate. It can be locked in "fire" position. The flame intensity can be changed on the base (+/- by turning the base). The flame can be intensive (much air given) or more "lighting" (air off). Startin it is easy, while depending of the gaz it can take time. There is a plastic "foot" socket allowing to have it vertically stabilized so you can work with you two hands. Shrinking tue are working well with it (not melting flame ;-) ). The price, the easy of use, the one you must have!

Cons: When using "melting" flame, and when stopping, sometimes the flame stay a bit, decreasing then ending.

Other: I have not yet try to melt al, but i think of a lot of usage, including helping starting BBQ ;-).

Pros: The locking mechanism is very good if you want to work for extended periods of time. And it comes with a base for that as well.

Cons: Working for extended periods, while a pro, is also what causes most of the cons. A piece near the nozzle that controls air flow is made out of plastic, and melted when I left it running for about 3 minutes. Also the sparking igniter in the front keeps getting pushed back due to the gas pressure at the nozzle coupled with the high temperatures.

Other: While it works, apparently not much thought was put into letting it on for more than a minute or so.
