What is Bulk Rate? BulkRate is a semi-wholesale system with items priced separately from retail. When you use bulk rates, a flat $1.70 registered air mail fee will automatically be added to your cart to ensure delivery of package. While BulkRate's intention is to offer cheaper prices when you buy in bulk, because it is priced separately it on occassions show a higher than retail price. That's why we ask you to enter BULKRATE as a coupon code to manually activate the rates. You can always opt not to use the bulk rates. If you are looking for wholesale prices please feel free to contact us.

Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: It's a simple hot pot for lead, tin and possibly silver. It gets got quickly, and has an agreeable quality level.
Cons: Has a dial for some sort of temperature control, it still melts my leaded solder at the lowest setting, so it may not be very accurate.
Other: Not much to say except it works, with a box of solder grease next to your giant cable soldering job, this will get your stuff tinned.
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: Handy thing to have if your soldering alot of wires, beats coating all wires manually, just dip the wires in some grease and down the pot and your all done. Temp. dial worked fine on mine, and are decently accurate. Heats up to right temperature quick.
Cons: None,
Other: If your working with wires that needs pre coating get one of these it will save you loads of time, If i bought one today I would take the modell thats slighly smaller than this one.
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: makes tinning multiple wires a breeze. rather than taking 20 seconds or so to mount and then tin each wire, just dip the lot in one bunch and your done!
Cons: maybe could be cheaper?
Other: if you solder more than a handful of wires a month, a must buy. for me, making batteries with dozens of cells (each of which needs a balance wire) this thing saves me heaps of time!
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: High power, heats fast. Works perfectly. I'm very very satisfied with this purchase. The container can load a sustancial amount of soldering alloy. in my particular situation I load the Temperature controlled soldering pot with an alloy of 55% tin solder and 45% lead. This alloy melts before the classical alloy "lead free". No matters, the pot has an temperature controller, is easy and simple find the point at you will work comfortable.
Cons: Until now, no complaints. The exterior of the apparatus may be hotter than the table, but is logical !!!
Other: Higly recommended
