Pros: These are good boards based on AX2002 step down converter chip. It is easy to modify their output current, just change the value on the largest resistor on the board or replace the same sense resistor with a pot. Uses adequate components like a SS34 for rectifying diode. Soldering is notably better than what I've seen on many other cheap regulators.
Cons: From what I've seen all AX2002 based converters lose efficacy if output current is set to less than 1000mA
Other: Excellent regulator, very easy to use and offers efficient, robust operation.
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: It works on a single Li-ion or a 12v battery. It drives between 1 to 1.2A (depends on LED and power source) None have failed yet Board diameter fits P60 drop-ins.
Cons: Gets a little warm
Other: Its a good cheap driver just to have around. I always keep a few in stock for those quick projects. If you do any torch mod-ing or are into efficient LED lighting, try these. Don't want to drive your LED at 1.2A, simply use 2 LEDs in parallel for 600mA each.

Pros: Item is good everything works. Even surprised that it is so small. It is very easy to connect. It is easy to change resistor if it is need. It is easy to change resistor if need to change. It works with 3 1.5 V batteries. Useful device and cheaper than building your own. * Small size fits easily into projects as well as flashlights
Cons: Probably of mail sender's side crashed the top of the coil sides. But this is nothing. Only problem is that the card is heating.
Other: Value for money is good and really is a better option than the same solder such small details.

Pros: It is a good buck driver. Whenever you want to drive one LED with two or more cells (or some other voltage source up to 18V) and no modes, this one is for you. Efficiency is ~80%; Drives the LED at 1.2A. Might even drive multiple LEDs in series (I tried that, but not thoroughly).
Cons: Not a boost driver. Input voltage should be ~0.7V higher than LED voltage, or the current goes down significantly. So it's not suited for single cell operation. Gets warm a bit (not hot). 1.2A is a bit too much for XP-E and XR-E LEDs.
Other: Nice buck driver. I'll get some more.

Pros: - very efficient
- programmable output current
- small and compact
- good build and quality
- easy to use
Cons: - price could be lower
- not suitable for use when supply voltage is less than emitter voltage
- output current needs to be lowered as it may overstress XRE and XPE power LEDs
- low efficiency with low output currents
Other: I will order more of these and will recommend them to friends.

Pros: This basic buck driver works well and provides good brightness. I used it to replace the broken driver in my Ultrafire C2 flashlight. I also replaced the CREE XR-E P4 LED with a CREE XR-E Q5.
The Ultrafire C2 will accept either 2x16340 or 1x18650. Using one 3.7v battery the flashlight stays cool but the brightness dimiishes quite quickly. With two 3.7v bateries the flashlight is brighter. One bright mode is delivering 1amp to the LED is great and you do not have the bother of cycling through multiple modes to get to max brightness.
Cons: Does not work that well with one 18650 li-ion battery. This is because the buck driver needs a differential in voltage to work. Will not work very well at the quoted 3v min.
Other: A good single mode driver for 2 li-ions

Pros: -small board, great for mods in smaller lights than maglite & Co. Other board are huge, only good for maglite mods.
-By changing the sene Resistor, it can run with 2A output current with ease!
Calculating output:
0.25 / sense resistor in ohm = Output current
Example: 0.25 / 0.125ohm = 2A output
-SS34 Diode = less heat generated
Cons: -A AX2003 version would by nice, its up to 3A current --> ideal for Cree XM-L
-presoldered wires are too thiny
Other: A great catch for 2$ with good power efficiency.
After several mods, my favourite driver!

Pros: Small. Bought for use in the car, the voltage range is suitable. 5W enough power to supply Q or R of the diodes. Can be powered XML, will be less heat and higher efficiency. For the torch, in my opinion, not the best option, a mode is inconvenient. But there is no strobe))) Real size 16-16,5 mm.
Cons: As already wrote, this 1 mode. It would be good to add a range selection mode. For example Hi, Hi-Low. I think it would be more possibilities to apply.
Other: Small driver for little money)) 5 W and 1 mode. Perfect for cars.

Pros: good driver, does the job, small, not much heat, no noise
Cons: i had to re-solder wires, as I think they need to be a bit thicker; but maybe it's just me..
Other: works even for long periods of time, still have one extra that I bought just for backup... Also these are getting a bit old, as I recently jumped on to xmlt6 with 18650 batt, which is a lot more...
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: - Small and cheap driver.
- It's can be driven more than one LED.
- It's can be driven many LED type.
Cons: - The pre-soldered wires is too thin (I changed them to thicker wires).
Other: I waited three months for it, but it was worth.
