Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: - Very Bright
- Good Built Quality
- Easy to Mount
- Rainproof (tested)
- Solid
- 3w written on the body (thought DX marketed it as 1W)
You'll definitely be can see the road at night.
Bought 2 (two) of these and combined it with Toppeak Bar-X-tender, makes your bike looks cool and futuristic.
2 of these makes your night ride like a day ride.
Cons: For the price , i think there is none
2 of these still cheaper than 1 Cateye's product..
Other: Recommended to Buy
Best Bang for the Buck, for comparable product in the same price range.

Pros: The biggest Pro for me is:
Its cheap as any light here in stores...
But also its NOT 1 Watt-on the Light itseld you READ exactly:
SPARK (TM) SPARK -3W-78
__
Maybe the 78 means 78lm !
Maybe...
Its really good quality nearly perfect
Really nice build quality
No packaging for retail...but this doesnt matter for me.
Really GOOD rainproof.
Fits really good on the Bike holder
Cons: Its not really A CON but the reflector is really a CHEAP PLASTIC builded "thing"
I wish there was a GOOD builded aluminium Reflector inside-it doesnt fit 100% on the Led's manufactred chip.
The Led dont tell us any data's
No Memory Mode-means you have to Press button always 2 Times from ON-STROBE-OFF
Maybe A memory mode would be better.
Memory Mode like PRESS ON IT ALWAYS BLINKS/LIGHTS on the last mode you took...and will be off after ONE SHORT TOUCH on the button
-one more little Con is the Bike holding...you nearly can not adjust it to left or right...just up and down.
Other: At all this product is really GOOD
and for the price the BEST bike light you can get "in germany" (via Internet)
If you can wait some days (I waited 4 working days after paying with paypal)
you will be very happy with this light.
the cons will not matter for normal Users.

Pros: This bike light gives out some serious power ! I use this light as i ride at night alot, and you are sure to be seen with this. There are two modes; On and a blinking mode, i use this light in the "on" mode and use my other light that has a strobe mode on. This ensures that i am seen, this light does not just make you be seen but it also lights up the road ahead. I am a mountain biker and i would happily use this on a trail at night, maybe would invest in another to go on my helmet. The construction is well made and i like the feel of the on/off button.
Cons: I feel that the mount that is included with the light is abit to big. Also when i recieved my light the peice of transparrent plastic was scratched. Althought the mount is adjustable and looks like it would fit even slightly oversized bars.
Other: If you are serious about riding in the dark or even just want to invest in some decent bike lights then this is the one to get. This light you can see even in day light. Look at it this way, if the worse was to happen and you was hit by a car at night, they couldnt exactly say that they didnt see you!

Pros: - Very very bright, it's almost as bright as a expensive bike light (Corona Extreme, Cateye 530);
- Very well made, material is better than most of the lights;
- Light goes far (30 meters, more or less);
- Atachment to handbar is very good, you can turn the light to left or right, as you wish;
- Atachment seems to be strong, I did not tested it (in a bike accident, for example =D)
Cons: - It uses 4 AAA batteries, which are more expensive and dont last as AA

Other: If you buy it, you wont regret. It's the best you can buy for this price, and even for much more you can't find one as good as this one!

Pros: The torchlight can be used both as a bike light or as a standard torchlight.
The casing is made of metal and it has a good finish. Weight-wise, the torch has a good heavy feel and feels solid.
The light from the torch is very bright and clearly many notches above the basic bike lights like SKU 454.
The torch has two modes - on and flashing. Both work really well.
Cons: Internally, the battery holder seems a little flimsy. The torchlight arrived in a very soft cardboard box bent out of shape. Clearly, the box served very little purpose.
Other: Forget all the other front mount bike lights that are lower priced. The other lights have comparatively poor light output. This one is only slightly more expensive but you clearly get a much better product. If you are still shopping around for one, this is the one to purchase.
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: -good price
-very bright, have a good spot
-small good looking
-is made of metal normally for this price its of plastic
-good dirt and rainproof have tested on slashy streets :D
Cons: -the screws of the rail on the light wasn't fixed
-lens of plastic
not really a con but the strobe flashes to fast so its a bit irritating for opposing traffic
Other: Have ordered a secound one for my handlebar
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: Quite sturdy, has o-rings and seems to be somewhat waterproof. Two modes, the strobe mode helps to conserve batteries quite nicely, will flash for few hours.
Cons: Mine arrived without the bike mount so I cannot comment on that. Hope dx will send me the missing part sometime soon. No other cons I can think of. One could think that the requirement for 4 batteries could be a con, since there are lights available with 3 or less.
Other: If you need a light for your bike, this is a good option.
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: The light output of this thing is insane! The product description on this page states that the LED at 1W, but on the product it says 3W.
Build Quality - this light feels like a product for 10 times the price, metal casing is really nice.
Cons: The mounting bracket seems fragile - interesting to see what happens after 6 months of use...
Other: Insanely powerful - I wonder if it's street legal? ;-)
I highly recommend this product, works good even as a flashlight without the mountingbracket...
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: Very Sturdy Construction. Excellent light throw on the beam. Very bright and attention getting for motorists.
Cons: none
Other: If i rode a bike at night, I would get one of these for myself too. But, alas, my weary old body can't handle riding anymore. But that is ok, I will end up spending my money on all the other glorious things that DX has to offer. Oh, yeah... the bike light, It is wicked cool. My friend is super happy with it!
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: Bright, Metal case, Nice mount, Removable
Cons: Inner disc isn't flat. Mount has thumb screw, nice for quick adjustments but makes it very easy for someone to steal the whole assembly.
As others have stated, the mount is too big in diameter for MTB handlebars. I had to use the spacers from the other cheapo lights I tried before these. If you have an old inner tube around you could cut strips out of it to make spacers or you could probably use electrical tape to make the mount fit.
Other: These are clearly far better than the cheaper multiple LED lamps for only slightly more money. The mount and lamp are both better build quality and these are far brighter.
Buy two of them and adjust one a little lower and one a little higher. When you get them just right you'll be able to see up close, you'll have a sweet spot where the two overlap that's nice and bright right where you need it to be and you'll be able to see a pretty good distance.
I only gave it a 4 on build quality and overall because if I hadn't bought two of them and was able to swap battery assemblies I would have had to try and repair one of them or return it for a replacement. Other than the battery problem the build quality is very good for the price.
And as others have stated, it says 3W on the case, not 1W.
