1W 850nm IR LED Emitter on Star (1.7~1.8V 700mA)

Pros: Really bright IR led. I used one of these for night vision in video door phone - it works extremely well, much brighter than IR LEDs that were in call panel.

Cons: Not a con actually but wrong description - this is NOT 3.5V 350mA but 1.7V 700mA! I ordered 350mA drivers for these LEDs, and at 350mA they are not bright at all. Had to wire 2 drivers in parallel to get proper current.

Other: Great thing but description is wrong - make sure to order proper ~700mA drivers.

Pros: There is nothing to say, this is excellent very "bright" IR LED, good for night vision, security cameras e.t.c.

Cons: Not a con actually, but wrong description of the item caused to Me, to fry one of the lEDs - this is NOT 3.5V 350mA, but 1.7V 700mA LED! So be careful with this!

Other: Excellent choice! Buy it, its good quality product that could be used for any IR lighting or night vision.

Pros: This powelled replaces 20-40 5mm leds 850nM and can be used with a reflector wich give a trow for NV Equipement but also for videocams and other ir sensitive instruments. For me it is important for enhancing gen 1 tubes and make them usefuul for greater distance wich is almost impossible with the normal 5mm leds.

Cons: Heat dissipation must be taken care off, otherwise the led destroys itshelve within a minute. But it that really a con or just a habit of powerleds?!

Other: If you don't want to build PC with 20-40 IR leds and you want to be able to make a beam with trow, this is your best component. Ther is also a power-IR led with 3 cristals inside but that one gives a ugly form in its throw.
