2.1mm 160-Degree Wide Angle Lens for Security Cameras and Webcams

Pros: This is an excellent wide angle cctv lens, and seems to fit all of my interchangeable lens cctv cameras.

Cons: Watch out for a little oil on the threads, to be expected.

Other: Recommended, and such a reasonable price too. Buy a spare one whilst you can.

Pros: - very wide angle most probably 120-140.
- installs in seconds, screw it in until you see clear.
- comes with a cap for privacy.

Cons: colors are a bit dull and focus is a bit uneven. but could be the camera. don't let this stop you, it really is cost-efficient.

Other: very useful with security software like webcamxp.
i use it with sku.13, you can get it and this lens for 12$, very chiep for this kind of security for home/office.

Pros: Almost on-par with the field of vision one of your eyes has... or at leas one of mine. Easy installation. Ships with protective cap.

Cons: Was a bit loose-fitting in my camera, but nothing thread tape couldn't fix. No (optional) piece of IR-blocking glass

Other: Works just for what I need, so I bought more!

Pros: nice price! i got this fisheye last week - it's really awesome. very good angle (for panoramic)

Pros: This is a very well-built product, and work very well. If you have webcam with the proper lens mount type, this is a great buy, specially because of the low price.

Cons: It is not a proper "wide-angle" lens because it distorts the image. On the other hand, I don't think it deserves to be called a "fisheye" lens, because the distortion doesn't seem to follow of the classic fisheye functions like f-theta or whatever. It does give you a great FOV though. I haven't been able to judge how well it focus the image, and the color fidelity, because me webcam is very bad. But looks all right to me. It would be only nice if came with an IR filter option...

Other: If you are even remotely interested in buying something like this, I recommend you very strongly.

Pros: Screws right in! I have a foscam security camera and it works like a charm. Drastically widens viewing angle and increases image clarity.

Cons: Absolutely no cons!!!!!!

Pros: * Good quality * Enhances vision by providing more visual space * Easy to install * Interchangeable with older lens in case you want to use as normal webcam

Cons: * As someone mentioned before, it distorts the image a bit, but it is not a major concern if you want to use your webcam as a security cam. It still holds plenty of detail and is very useful.

Pros: If you own a foscam or any foscam-like camara this is a must! the original lens is way to close up for security or even a small room. this lens widens the view angle by double. i cant speak for other camaras but it improved mine alot

Cons: kinda tricky getting it in because it has no hand grips like the original lens in my foscam, and you have to tighten it pretty far inside. but its not hard. Little bit of a roundness to the image but much better then the original lens

Pros: I used this lens with a very cheap logitech webcam. The original image quality was very very poor, the image was very dark, with lots of grain due to the poor quality plastic (I guess) optics. When I put this lens on the webcam the difference was astronomical! it now has better quality than most of the very expensive webcams! And I can even focus it on very VERY small distances to take a huge macro shot of the tip of a pen.. Also the build quality is very good, very sturdy. it's made of metal

Cons: none really.. except that when it says wide angle, they don't mean it on the small sensors of cheap webcams, so the field of view was just like it was before

Other: Good optics for cheapo diyers :)

Pros: Very well priced Good build quality Reasonable image quality Fairly easy to install

Cons: Marked barrel distortion in image Fitting the lens is easy in theory but harder in practice. Focusing the lens is time consuming and hard on the fingers.

Other: Great for security use and at a price hard to beat. Can be tricky to install and focus.
