Pros: Clock only has 4 buttons, very easy to use! It has an option it will speak the time on the hour if you want it to. It also has many different alarms or 'songs' that it plays
My mother does not see very well and she loves this clock! Now she never has to ask anyone what time it is anymore
Just push the big button on the top of the unit and it will speak the time out loud in very clear english. The LED backlight is bright(blue colored) and the numbers are big also.
The backlight also shuts off after a few seconds so it conserves battery power

Cons: The kids love to push the song button and its VERY LOUD (and annoying if pushed over and over lol)
Other than that, no cons at all!

Other: BUY THIS! Especially if you have a loved one who does not see very well or if you just don't want to open your eyes in the morning to see what time it is.

Pros: This is a great product for those who cannot see well (or at all). Clocks for the blind used to be expensive but this one is not! Build quality is nice, the clock is easy enough to set and its housing is sturdy enough for daily use, yet light enough for use when travelling.

Cons: None as far as I can see.

Other: This speaking clock is well worth the price. I would recommend it.

Pros: Watches come packaged in original box with instructions. Clocks have a large display, easy to read with good illumination. Operates on 2 AA batteries. You can set the alarm. At the top are two buttons for lighting and for speaking time. Pressing the sacrifices you the current time in English.

Cons: They used cheap plastic - I had the battery cover clumped and go separates. Melody hours are like children's toys, Chinese :-).

Other: If you need a large, backlit clock, do not hesitate to buy. Operates on two AA bterie, but fit in very tight. Speaking time is very funny :-) :-)

Pros: I'm very pleased to say that this clock is all you could ask for. The display is big, bright (when lit) and high contrast. The clock will announce each hour automatically, and the time on demand. The voice is clear enough. An excellent tool on the bedside table, or for the visually impaired. (I got one first for my mother, who's blind, and bought a second for myself.)

Cons: C'mon, guys, a little bit of effort in the instructions would be great. I figured it out easily enough in the end. It's really the only thing that lets you down.

Other: Excellent.

Cons: Materials used could be stronger
Battery compartment is very tight and it's not easy to put the lid back on once the batteries are inside
The design of a long bottom across the top of the clock, while the lid of the battery compartment on the bottom, makes it more difficult to change the batteries
Instruction sheet is not very well written; took me a while to figure out all the nice features
Description maintains the clock can announce both time and date. But there's only time, no date.

Other: If you need a simple alarm clock, get this one. If you have problems with the instruction sheet, ask around. You can figure it out on your own too (just like me) only it will take longer time.

Pros: Nice, big, easy to read digits.
Accuracy is not a concern: keeps good time.
Has a backlight.
Takes AA batteries--easy to find and more capacity than AAA devices.
Smallish size makes it useful for travel.

Cons: Seems to suck back the battery juice, especially if you use the alarm feature and/or the backlight. Gave me about three weeks with 4-day alarm use and backlight and the occasional time readout (voice) on NiMh; seems quite a bit longer without using those features.
Backlight is just OK, you kind of have to move it around so that the angle makes it readable.

Other: I like it. a good purchase for $5.44.

Pros: The large characters are easy to read. Not surprisingly it keeps good time. It is reasonably easy to set the time, alarm or beeps. It is small and protable yet we leave it in the kitchen and it fits in quite nicely. It is "blind friendly" in that it can be set by a blind person.

Cons: Setting the time and alarm is a little bit convoluted and occasionally forget and have to check the cheat sheet. The voice is like a squeeky little kid, but it is quite intelligible.

Other: Worth the cost, able to be used by a person who is blind or visually impaired.
