VC830L 2.2" LCD Handheld Digital Multimeter (Voltage + Current + Resistance /1*6F22)

Pros: The price, of course. It's a great multimeter for basic values: V, A, R. I've not tested precision finely, but it seems to work well with both AC and DC, as well as the restistance.

Cons: The box i received was pretty damaged, even it was fixed with an elastic band and tape. However, the multimeter was in a nice status.
The black tip unglued in seconds. I had to glue it again, but it's a minor and easy-to-fix con.

Other: I recommend to buy if u need something simple and cheap, but well-built.

Pros: Cheap (as in price, not quality)

Fused. I did something really stupid and connected the leads so that they shorted. Blew an UPS used for testing but the multimeter is still alive and kicking. QC passed ;-)

Cons: Test leads are bad. I am using individual test leads I also bought on DX. Buy them, they are great.
Packaging was crushed, but the multimeter itself was in great shape.

Pros: I'm an automotive engineer and have one multimeter in each one of my cars. This one I've bought to have in the trunk with other tools and spares. Is a very important tool for diagnose car, machines, electronics problems. For only US$ 10,00 is possible to have the soluction for many professional and personal situations. It works properlyfor this.

Cons: The quality of the test wires and points are not professional but for the price and use is OK. If you need a good one for your apllications you need to invest more money.

Other: Very good for begginers and for simple electrical services.

Pros: Very cheap. Accurate enough for a hobbyist. Measures everything a hobbyist needs: voltage, current, resistance and checks continuity (beeping). Has a "hold" button and a blue backlight button.

Cons: Not so good build quality. The insides are not tight inside the case, shaking the multimeter one hears and feels something shaking inside.

Other: If you need a cheap multimeter for doing hobbyist stuff, this product is adequate. If you need something more professional, skip this product.

Pros: Has a continuity check supported by sound. Has a hold button. Has a backlight button. It can measure relative smaller current (20 uA).

Cons: Housing quality is lower. Plastic looks cheap. Test leads that are in the package are a little bit harder to connect to multimeter.

Other: I think this is the best deal for the digital multimeter for a student that wants a cheapest but capable multimeter. Despite my bashing of product housing and test leads quality the product itself works perfect.

Pros: Feels sturdy to me. Some of the other reviews made it sound like it cheaply put together but it feels good to me. I use it for hobby purposes and it meets all of my needs.

Cons: None that I can think of. I didn't check it for accuracy so I can't speak to it.

Other: If your starting off with electronics, this will meet your needs. Feels like good quality to me, but maybe I just have lower expectations compared to the other reviewers.

Pros: Measurements performed correctly and is very easy to use. Is a multimeter lightweight manageable and very simple. The wheel works pretty well. The screen is large and the digits are clearly visible.

Cons: The construction is not very compact nor strong. The plastics are of poor quality and the buttons seem to be of a appliance of toy. The light works only for 3 seconds,therefore it is not very useful. Does not have rubber protection for the blows. The cables are of poor quality and very shorts.

Other: This is a very basic multimeter, to do jobs in house

Pros: Great backlight, measurements look ok, as I didn't check how accurate it is compared to a high precision instrument. Go get it if you need a simple multimeter.

Cons: Cables look to be easily damaged. Miss a temperature function.

Other: Buy if you are not suppose to use it professionally. Ideal for home/office usage, where small reading errors are allowed.
