2.4" LCD MP3/MP4 Player with 1.3MP Digital Camera and Loudspeaker (2GB + SD Slot)

Pros: i got thins player for my 6 years old son and he loves it.
he is playing with it for a week now and its still in good shape.
it plays many types of audio files
it also can play mp4 video files and the screen qulity is very good (320*240)
the camera quality is ok in sun light
the video capture is not very good.
it can also play video and audio to an external TV (cable is not supplied)
it runs NES games (about 100 of them are supplied on the CD)

Cons: the built in speaker is not very good and the supplied earphones are crap.
i got one of the 2$ earphones from DX and it sounds great.
it came with a USB charger that didn't work
i pluged it to 5V DC phone charger and it did charge its internal battery

Other: its cheep and usefull

Pros: Fairly easy to figure out how to use it. Mine charges fine from USB or the included charger. The display screen is crisp and clear, 320x240 is nice. Easy to load music, movies, and the included games onto the player. Sound and picture quality are very good for the price. The video conversion software on the CD worked perfectly, the resulting smaller files load and play well with no glitches. Audio recorder works well, quite clear audio. Overall, this seems to be a great little player for low cost.

Cons: The instruction manual appears to be for a different unit. This manual is not terribly useful at all.
The Camera and DV functions are inoperative on my unit. Attempting to select Camera or DV will cause the unit to freeze at the menu, must use "reset" button to unlock unit. Could be bad firmware.
The internal speaker does not always start working again when the headphones are unplugged from the unit, however, the headphones always work.

Other: A better manual would help ease of use a lot.
The inactive camera functions are annoying, but not a fatal flaw.
Despite the lousy manual and dead camera features, this is still a great little audio and video player, not to be passed up for the price. If you want to listen to music and be able to play movies, why not get one ...
