2.4GHz 16dBi Directional High Gain 16-Unit Antenna for Wifi/Wireless Network (RP-SMA)

Pros: Buy this antenna if you want to get a very good signal for you wireless connection.Ibought it because i needed better reception,too the free hotspot that is down the road,picked up lots of other networks even another free hot spot,I had noticeably better signal strenght and better link quality.

Cons: no cons this is one of the best things i have bought from dealextreme.

Other: buy it it is very good antenna,it done wonders with my wireless connection

Pros: Get this antenna if you want to pick up loads of wireless connections. Bought it because I needed better reception. I had noticeably better signal strenght and better link quality. If you want to pick up WEP, WPA, WPA2 and then decode this is the kiddy for you. It may not be up to everyones standard but its a step in the right direction..

Cons: Not alot but what do you expect for the price!

Pros: Inexpensive, and shipped pretty quickly. Plug and play and built fairly well. The relatively long lead cable allows to mount the antennae in many different configurations.

Cons: I was expecting at least a decent pick up in signal strength, but this antennae did not do any better then the small antennae that my network card came with. Pretty disappointed in its performance. Others seem to have had good luck with it, so maybe mine is defective....

Other: Give it a try, it is pretty darn inexpensive and seems to work for most people.

Pros: It founds almost all the wireless connections
in the area.
It gives better signal and better link quality and it never disconnected from the connection to the Wireless.

Cons: The cable length is very short-only 150cm and you must buy a new cable in order to put the antenna near a window or somewhere alse.

Other: Buy it when you see that you dont get enough

Pros: Antenna seems to be well built and should stand up to weather. Comes with all needed mounting hardware. Looks great. The length of the cable is ok for using it on top of a file cabinet.

Cons: Using the Wifi Analyzer app on my Motorola Droid to test the signal level. I noticed only a few db increase with the Directional High Gain attached compared to the oem 4.5" virtical antenna.
To use outside one would have to use a weather proof connector to add longer cable or remove the cable and use a longer one.

Other: I am still looking for a good Wifi antenna. DealExtreme has some good products at GREAT prices. Sometimes it is a little hard to gather information on an item with out reading the reviews and forum. Then you have to trust the third party.

Pros: To start with let me state that I have 2 of these which I use on my WIFI router as antenna. I keep the antennas in the attic of my house so they have a clear area to broadcast.
Overall I've found that while using these antennas I've experienced a 10-12 db gain in signal compared to the stock antennas that were on the router to begin with. I've also noticed that my wireless range has been extended around 10-15 feet compared to what it was before.
These antenna feature an SMA adapter which is used by many major WIFI maufactures for their antennas includeding Linksys. This makes it super easy to install and use.

Cons: - The build quality on these is somewhat sketchy. The black tips on one of my antennas where almost all missing. Also on the other the mounting bracket piece was missing some screws.
-The gain in signal wasn't quite what I was hoping that it would be. Although it was defiantly better it wasn't quite up to what I was hoping for when broadcasting. Still not bad for the price.

Other: For the price this antenna is a decent option for someone looking to get a little bit better range out of their wireless router or their WIFI card. As they use SMA their easy to connect and install. Although they don't work quite as good as they could, I've found them to be pretty good for the price.

Pros: I am a wireless technician by trade. This is a great directional antenna! It definately does what it's supposed to! It increases TX/RX range, but only in a very small, focussed direction! Which is great for very long range reception! I'm guessing this antenna will deliver omnidirectional unity gain, so 0db until directly in front of it. It has a great, & sturdy construction to it!

Cons: No cons at all, if you want better range for around your house, get a higher gain omnidirectional antenna. This antenna is like a flashlight with a VERY focused beam! If you need general coverage, don't get a Yagi!

Other: If you need long range, point to point communications, get two, & aim them at each other!

Well getting bubble wrap of was annoying but pocket knife handled that :P

Other: Get it and enjoy, will improve signal, it's cheap and IT WORKS.
I have used this many times on holidays to pick up nearby free macdonalds Internet.
Combine this with a high powered wifi adapter and your all set :)

Pros: Very strong signal. I was amazed at how well this works. Using a very high power wifi adaptor, i can pick up around 6 networks near my house with a 7dbi antenna. With this awesome antenna, I'm able to find around 30 networks, most of them at 80% signal. Lightweight enough to mount to a cheap $15 tripod. I mounted a nut into the end of a stubby peice of dowel, and it holds very steady.

Cons: Mine arrived with a few of the rubber caps missing. It doesn't look too bad, but I would prefer to have the ends closed, as insects like to lay eggs in holes around here. The cable is a touch long, but should only be around 1.2dbi loss for this type of cable.

Other: Buy it. You can't go wrong with this. If you need better range, go for it!

Pros: I ordered this directional antenna to use it with SKU35688. Using the software Inssider to check the available wireless spots at 3-4 km away. I found about 10 with good signal and able to connect to 4 or 5 of them.

Cons: It´s not really a con, you have to point it very well to get good signal. If there´s any obstacle between you and the router you won´t able to connect.

Other: A good bought! Dont think twice if you need to connect to a very far away router.
