What is Bulk Rate? BulkRate is a semi-wholesale system with items priced separately from retail. When you use bulk rates, a flat $1.70 registered air mail fee will automatically be added to your cart to ensure delivery of package. While BulkRate's intention is to offer cheaper prices when you buy in bulk, because it is priced separately it on occassions show a higher than retail price. That's why we ask you to enter BULKRATE as a coupon code to manually activate the rates. You can always opt not to use the bulk rates. If you are looking for wholesale prices please feel free to contact us.

Pros: Unit is reasonably easy to instal and get running. Privacy seems quite secure, people at the computer can of course see who you are talking to, but can't listen to the conversation. Pushing the speaker phone button on the base whilst using the handset doesn't let the person at the computer listen, it flashes the LED and switches to speakerphone when the handset is placed on the base.
Cons: None found yet, but am a little concerned there seems to be no way to shut off the phone when you shut down your computer.
Other: I bought 2, one is being shipped off shore to give privacy to a lady friend that presently can't use Skype with any privacy. I'd buy more of these if I needed them, they do what they were bought to do.

Pros: It's actually working better than I had expected. The quality was good for both the speaker and headset. Under windows it was all good. I tried it under Parallels on my Mac and it also worked fine. I even got it to work on my Mac natively after a bit of googling, though support was limited to just using the headset as a speaker & mic (the buttons on the phone didn't function and no base speaker).
Cons: The only cons that I know of is that it's made mainly to work with Skype when it could easily be used with other VoIP programs most likely. Actually, you might be able to, if you seach google for USB-W1DL and then look under guides and download. I haven't tried it yet. Also, when my computer is turned off, the clock on the phone freezes, making it a pretty silly clock.
Other: I got this to make it easier for me and my gf to call home from New Zealand to USA or China. We will use it to call landlines in both countries. I was thinking of trying Skype's unlimited world plan. That way we could stop buying international calling cards and get rid of the landline. The phone, I hope, will make a nice reminder for me to call home once a week or so...
