    Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)

    Pros: The SATA II to IDE adapter is very useful for those who have systems (laptops, PC's) does not have SATA capability on the motherboard. So this is the most cost effective solution for using newer technologies. In our country there is hard to find old and good IDE drives for laptops and new ones is enormous expensive, so you can just buy this adapter and use sata hdd's 2,5'' or 3.5''. Actually you will need additional power supply for some of them.

    Cons: Not so fast, but it is enough for me. For three months of using, did not break or anything. Just one problem - my laptop does not support this adapter I guess, because I have to turn on and off pc several times until it boots.

    Other: Good solution for such price, but could be cheaper.
