Pros: - wide angle lens
- good picture quality
- H.264! (better than XVID and MUCH better than MJPEG)
- turns on and off automatically when on 12V
- LCD screen to accurately position the camera
- works well even with lower-class SD cards
- the suction mount is strong and not too big

Cons: - first one broke after just 3 days, but the replacement worked great for 3 weeks now
- picture quality at night could be better

Other: - if you need a camera to record your driving, THIS IS IT!

Pros: - it's a type of product that I couldn't find at brand manufacturers - it starts recording when it gets power, that is you connect it to the cigarette adapter or when you start the car - it stops recording and shuts down properly when you disconnect it from power or you stop the car - it deletes old files by itself - resolution range is good enough, the H.264 codec is widely used, at this time, at least - microfone is good

Cons: - biggest con: sometimes it stops recording out of the blue. It's not often, it happened only once in a week, but that unreliability could hit at the worst possible time. You have to look at the screen from time to time and check the red dot to make sure it's still recording - you can only distinguish the license plates of cars that are 2-3 metres in front of you and aren't moving fast. You can't adjust the codec settings for better quality. - interface is unintuitive, you have to read the bad English manual to be able to operate the device; the [Up], [Down] buttons are reversed. However, once you got it and set it up as you like, there's no reason to access the interface anymore. If you need the files, just pop out the SD card.

Other: I feel better with this camera on board. If there were brand-name alternatives I would have considered them, but it seems there aren't any, at this time. Overall, it does the job.

Pros: disclaimer: bought this unit to be placed in car to record day to day driving.. to prevent inflated accident claims or accidents caused by reckless drivers - value for money - build quality is good - video quality is excellent as long as there are sufficient light, even during a rainy day - recording starts automatically when ignition is turned on, and off when ignition is turned off - 2.5" screen is very useful when adjusting angle to ensure that the desired angles are covered - wide angle lens covers the entire bonnet width and can record lane markings clearly (in case a car cuts into your lane abruptly)

Cons: there is only one con i have detected in this camera - the recording! i looked through the SD card to find that few seconds are LOST between each file, and the range is between 4sec to 7sec. THIS IS WORRYING. these lost seconds can be the critical moments when accidents happen..!! real encounter: i almost got into an accident as another car abruptly cuts into my lane and jams brake and IT WAS NOT RECORDED, LOST IN THE SECONDS BETWEEN 2 FILES!!! i was lucky that i could stop in time to avoid the accident, else i'll have NO VIDEO TO PROVIDE AS EVIDENCE!!!!! (over here, the vehicle hitting from the rear pays for all repair costs involved in a front-rear accident) and it doesn't make sense cos i have a camera that's suppose to be there to prove that the other vehicle changed lane without due care of mine and gave me to time to react. i cannot accept that the camera, which is suppose to prove my innocence failed on me at that critical moment its not that reliable if u are intending to use this camera for the same purpose as mine. p.s. i'm using a Sandisk 4GB SDHC Card

Other: buy it if you're not using it as a vehicle camera for the same purpose as mine. now i'm looking for another camera which is more reliable, not losing seconds of recording between each file!

Pros: Very good cam for its price. Do the job and not need any tricky actions to work well. I use it with 16GB SDHC card Very good work time on battery - about 1.5-2 hours! When "on" or power plug in - start recoridng When power off - save file and stop. Nice 2.5" screen. Have motion activated start (that works but useless for me) Recording audio too, and quality is good. Video quality not super for 720p, but totaly better than 480p When connect with PC it shows as card reader. You can do what you want with SD card

Cons: When battery life end - ITS DONT SAVE LAST FILE. Just know it If crush or something it can't save last file too. (i hope not i and you will "check" this)

Other: Good product

Pros: Excellent device! It is possible to see and analyse the style of your driving then! And in disputable situations on roads - the good assistant. Has bought such 3 pieces: to 1 itself and 2 friends. All are very happy. In the menu there is a possibility to choose Russian

Cons: Not so convenient holder of the chamber. And the sucker sometimes comes unstuck from ? windshield. It is not convenient to remove a device. For this purpose it needs to be "turned off" from the holder.

Other: I think you must have it!

Pros: Exactly what I needed and couldn't find anywhere else. I used to put my digi cam when I drove and removed it when not driving. That was just to much action. Now I just start the car and the cam starts..perfect. No hassle, takes all SD cards so far and the video quality and angle is ok for what the needs to have proof after an accident. Here in Thailand the crazy ladybike drivers always claim thats your fault when they crash in your car..not anymore..hehe. It fall of the windshield 3 times but nothing damaged.

Cons: The sucker gots of from the winshield sometimes and the cam fall down..but hey its hot here. 2 times it stopped recording but the was easily fixed by resetting and/or changes some of the config and set it back to the defaults. Also the srew wich holds the cam holder get loose after a while.

Other: Just what you need as a hassle free on-board cam for proof in case of accidents. Go for it. Price could be a bit cheaper..but hey after one accident you can proof that it was not your fault you have the investment back.

Pros: Nice works in night with less light. Sound record is also good (voice speaking is record clear without any noice).

Cons: The problem of this device is SD card compatability. It does not works with more cards from market. At this time I found compatability card - this is Transcend Class 10 cards. Don't try to use class 2 or class 4 cards - this is impossible to save HD video on this slow cards.

Other: Best carcam for this price. This is a great to get high definition carcam for 120 dollars.

Pros: It's small, easy to operate, works pretty well in low light conditions, has nice image quality at a pretty low price.

Cons: Build quality is a bit poor. After only six months of use, the cable from the 'motherboard' to the display has broken. Seems like it's been worn out by opening and closing the display. Also, when closing it, the display sort of hangs down.

Other: All in all it's a pretty decent product. If it wasn't for the display breaking in my unit I would have no problem recommending it to anyone and everyone.

Pros: It has a few features not mentioned in the product page that are very nice. You can control the length of each file recorded (2 min, 5 min and 15 min). you can control the frame/second rate. You can record video without sound. It has a motion detection mode. The video quality, even in low frame rate, is very good. It adopts quickly to changes in light conditions (for example: when you enter a tunnel or a parking garage). The car mount has two joints that make for a very easy setup of the camera.

Cons: The build quality feels flimsy, but to this day, its working perfectly. I even dropped is a few times (accidently) and nothing happened.

Other: I bought another one.

Pros: Very good camera. Small enough and good quality recording. Sufficient viewing angle. USB cable works without problems. Holder on the glass is strong enough. Need to prepare it before the mount.

Cons: Car charger is not suitable for Russian cars. Need a longer slot. Want a higher brightness. Built-in speaker is not very good quality. White balance does not provide a map of dark details on the background of bright. Built-in LED is not visible at an angle.

Other: Very good device at a low price. Can be used as a monitoring device from the window of his house. Buy a lot of these for my friends.
