2.5" SATA USB 2.0 HDD Enclosure with Leather Pouch - Black

Pros: I fitted a Fujitsu MHX2250BT drive into this enclosure, and it works as a USB connected HDD. BUT!

Cons: The back of the enclosure does not fit on. The drive is too thick by at least 2mm for the back to clip on. Both the front and the back of the enclosure are the same size, and I am not sure if a mistake was made in the unit that was sent to me, or if it is a bad design.

Other: It works as an external HDD enclosure if you want to wrap tape around it to hold it together!

Pros: - Real USB 2.0 (about 30 MBytes/s read speed) - My Fujitsu 200 GB HDD fits in the case very well - Fairy high quality build - I/O operation indicator LED is red/green instead of blue (high power blue LEDs are so annoying...) - With some kind of HDDs you doesn't have to use both USB connectors. HDDs with low energy consuption you only need one connector (the one with two cables)

Cons: I think it doesn't have any cons. A great buy for this price.

Other: It works as expected, but you should pay attention while inserting the HDD in the case to not break the SATA connector.

Pros: Removable aluminium upper and lower cover, central part of box is plastic
Presence protective, though also unpretentious, cover
The mechanical mount of a hard disk (4 screws and screwdriver in a package)
Presence of a connective Y-cable
High speed data transfer of the large files: the record of 20-22 mb/sec, reading of 30-33 mb/sec (was checked with a hard disk Hitachi 5400 rpm 250gb)
Is identified by the system quickly and starts to work at once after connection

Cons: The operatin manual contains many errors

Other: I recommend the device to all and shall buy more

Pros: - Easy to assemble. Took about 1 minute to install and start in the computer.
- Fitted my HDD without problems and it was quickly identified by W7 64
- High speed transfer
- Included 4 screws and a small screwdriver. I didn´t need to use them
- Nice leather case. If it now is leather ;-)

Cons: None at all. Everything fitted and worked instantly.

Other: If you need a cheap and nice HDD enclosure for a 2.5" this works just great.

Pros: - Small and sleek package for your 2.5" hard drive
- Light weight.
- Works great, no USB drivers required what-so-ever.
- Fast as an USB 2.0 connection.
- Comes with screws and a small screwdriver

Cons: - Build quality is not the best in class. Sometimes you have to pray open with a screwdriver, or you won't make it.
- The used to connect the hard drive to the min-USB cable looks cheap, and it's hard to remove it from inside the case. Again you have to pray it out GENTLY with a screwdriver.

Other: Good product, cheap and works.
Don't expect it to be EXCELLENT, just good. Works as expected.

Pros: - Small package for your 2.5" hard drive
- Light weight.
- When assembled it gives a reliable feeling
- Works great, no USB drivers required for XP
- Fast USB 2.0 connection.

Cons: - Build quality is not the best. In my case, the lower part of the case shall be removed using a screwdriver, the upper part can be easily removed.
- The used to connect the hard drive to the min-USB cable is short and thin. Even two USB connectors, I needed use a different cable (thicker) to provide enough current to the HDD.

Other: Good product, if you need a cheap HDD enclosure for a 2.5" this works fine.
It is possible that you need a thicker USB cable if your HDD has a current consumption about 1 A.

Pros: Looks nice and works well .
It comes with a screwdriver, screws and a bag to contain all .
The case is strong enough. I use it daily and I got no problems at all.
Data cable with extra usb to get more power (Y cable)

Cons: As almost any USB to sata, it gets not enough power from the front panel USB of many cases, but is really a case problem .
Plug it directly to the motherboard USB and that´s all .

Other: none known

Pros: It is easy to open and close. It has good connection to the HDD. The metal case helps dissipate heat from the hard disk and makes the whole stronger. The box is lightweight, easy to carry. Comes with cable included.

Cons: The cover is very thin, but enough to carry it. The problem is how carry the cable along with the HDD. You have to carry the cable separately.

Other: Good product, good price / quality ratio

Pros: Fair price. Small, lightweight, extremely portable . Comes with a nice pouch to store the hd enclosure in. Acceptable speed from a portable enclosure.

Cons: The USB cord is a bit odd. The enclosure feels very flimsy prior to putting the HD into it. The LED is overly bright.

Other: I'd recommend this HD enclosure. The price is right, and it works as it should.

Pros: Inexpensive but extremely functional, I liked the finish and quickly transfer files. Excellent for anyone who wants to backup files hd's old. Cons: I had a little difficulty inserting the hd inside because apparently it's a bit smaller, but with care and managed way.

Other: I love all the products I bought at dx unfortunately myth takes to arrive in Brazil, otherwise buy more often.
