What is Bulk Rate? BulkRate is a semi-wholesale system with items priced separately from retail. When you use bulk rates, a flat $1.70 registered air mail fee will automatically be added to your cart to ensure delivery of package. While BulkRate's intention is to offer cheaper prices when you buy in bulk, because it is priced separately it on occassions show a higher than retail price. That's why we ask you to enter BULKRATE as a coupon code to manually activate the rates. You can always opt not to use the bulk rates. Pros: I use a 160gb 5400 rpm SATA drive from a PS3 as an external drive and it works great with my Wii and PS3. I have used 3 other sata drives and they all work just fine.
Cons: The dual cable can be a little annoying but does work to power the drive better. The case is thin metal and can be dented easily.
Other: I'm gonna buy another 1 or 2 of these case. They protect the drive better then leaving it exposed. The SATA to usb interface is fairly well built and it is compatible with Windows, MAC, Linux, PS3, and Wii. I'd bet it is compatible with everything as it should be.

Pros: Very cheap, no tools needed. Just open the case with your fingers and slide in a 2,5" drive. Drives can be swapped in a matter of seconds.
I've used a 200G 7k Hitachi drive which works perfectly.
Works fine with Linux (no driver needed)
Comes with a Y-cable but I only needed to insert one USB into the pc. I guess this depends on the power the drive consumes, but the chipset doesn't need two cables. Simple pouch include.
Led shows if hdd is connected and if active or not.
Cons: Case doesn't close very tight. Some of these hdd cases come with a few screws to fix the case. This one is just pressed to close.
Other: value for money!

Pros: I've bought it as a hdd box for my Wii to avoid manual handling of game discs. Put a 500 GB Seagate (1.54W) into this little box and it works without any problems. One USB port is enough to power up my hdd so I can use the second USB for ethernet.
Cons: Material used for the box is really thin, but I'm not travelling with it so it's ok for me.
Other: There are lists of Wii compatible USB HDDs. I've bought this cheap one and it works.

Pros: * Excellent build quality of the case
* Very nice design (pure aluminium)
* Very thin
* Fast assembly without screws
* Fast trasfer rate: 29.5MB/s (with a 5400rpm hard disk Mitsubishi)
* One USB port is enough to power
Cons: * Cable build quality not so good: if you touch it you could loose the link, I ordered this as a replacement http://www.dealextreme.com/p/usb-5-pin-data-charging-cable-20cm-28983
Other: Highly recommended product, perhaps the best that I bought from DealExtreme!

Pros: A good, simple HDD enclosure which works fine. Tried it with several HDDs and it does it job without issues.
At first sight I thought that taking the hdd out once connected would have been problematic because of lack of space, but when I actually tried it turned out to be fairly easy .
Cons: It's very thin. Not that this is really a "con", but just keep in mind that you have to handle it with some care (I actually like it this thin 'cause it's also very light)
Other: Will definitely buy again if I'll need more

Pros: This HDD reader is awesome:
-It looks very solid
-It comes with an english manual so you can figure out how it works easily
-I love the fact that you don't have to remove screws to use it.
-It is very practical. It allowed me to back up my files from a HDD (Toshiba, 250GB) that was on a broken computer.
-The transfer rate is very fast.
-It's not expensive at all!!
-Very easy to use.
Cons: -It has a weird smell, but thanks God it's temporary.
Pretty much everything was perfect about this HDD reader.
Other: You should buy one... and it will always be practical, you never know what can happen to you.

Pros: U know, that hd that you have lying around, tucked in a drawer.... yeah, you can make those drives come back to life...
it's fast, no slowdowns at all, can be powered with a single usb
quick and easy to install a hd in it.
the silver finish it's exactly the same tone as macbook pro.
Cons: Sometimes the top part of it can get loose, can be solved with a little pressure on the sides or some double sided tape.
the Serial ATA,Certified USB 2.0 inscriptions are ugly as a sin but i think that can be removed...
Other: You can't beat the fact that for that price you won't find anything better that works and it's well designed.
if it had a firewire 800 port too it would be awesome, but there's the cost of it.
definitely, well worth the price.

Pros: This is a very good external hard drive. It is thin, easy to open/close, easy to install hard drive, comes with everything needed and available in a couple of colors. What more do you want for 6$?
+Fast transfer speeds
+can use one or two usb connections with newer drives
+Nice looking
+easy to use
+comes with cable and case
Cons: thin metal case. Not a con, just the difference between this one and one sold at 30$
Connector feels a little loose but does not disconnect
Other: This is a must have for anyone who has an extra 2.5" sata drive at home (or who is upgrading their laptop hard drive)
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: Doesn't show any problems, everything works as it should.
Supports hot plug.Doesn't have any loose connections inside or outside cable.
Slim, compact design.Worth the money. I didn't had any dramatic expectations, but never the less I was nicely surprised.
Cons: I didn't had any dramatic expectations, but never the less I was nicely surprised.Maybe I god lucky and mine was made in the middle of the week, so doesn't have any "weekend" factory defects :)
Other: Buy it and don't bother.
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: Easy installation, instant recognition as removable disk by the operating system (XP) ; with my hard drive (Fujitsu 100 Gb) does not need a secondary USB power supply ; soft leather pouch, low price
Cons: None so far
Other: I recommend it to anyone who has a second hard drive, but there is no option to install on his laptop.
