2.5" SATA USB 3.0 HDD Enclosure with Pouch - Black + Silver (Super-Speed 5Gbps)

Pros: Good finish, sturdy, handsome (does the kind of Apple design). Working at the same speed USB 2.0 is much faster than other cases and in 3.0 is impressive;
No need to install drives;
Good compatibility with operating systems including LINUX;

Cons: The manufacturer's packaging is a bit fragile, but nothing detrimental to transport or will damage the device;
Although it is easy use and handling of missed an instruction manual, mainly to help in opening the case;

Other: Good product. I make good recommendations

Pros: USB 3 Speeds, my 2.5" Seagate 500Gb 7200rpm gets over 100Mbps sustained write performance.
Small/Slim and very portable.
Comes with cable and leather pouch and is well packaged.
Only took a few seconds to install the HDD and ready to go.

Cons: Would like to of seen it come with a little screwdriver for the single screw, like many other enclosures do these days.
It took a few weeks to arrive:
Cost is still 3 times that of USB2 enclosure on DX.

Other: It's the cheapest 2.5" USB 3 enclosure on DX, and it's definitely a good buy. Worked well with my USB2 and USB3 ports @ their respective speeds.

Pros: - Working as described. - Reached max speed of 80MB/s. - HDD fits perfectly. - Great design.

Cons: - Mini screwdriver not included. - The metal cover making problems when opening the case, but you can easily fix it but cutting the plastic holders a little bit.

Other: Really great case for a really good price. Recommended.

Pros: The biggest pro on this case is its speed. Being 3.0 makes it faster than any other. It is better than purchasing those expensive External Hard Drives. If you have a laptop hard drive sitting on your drawer, just stick in this and you have an external hard drive.

Cons: I could sense that this case gets hotter than the other (slower) cases I have. The cable is different from any other USB cable I have ever seen. It could make it difficult to get a spare in case this cable is damaged/lost.

Other: I'll never buy an external hard drive again. Buying the case and getting a hard drive to fit in it is way better than that.

Pros: CHEAP! Stores want 3x the cost and they don't even come with the cable! Super SPEED! USB3 is going at 2x the speed of the same drive in a USB2 enclosure! Only have to use ONE CABLE for high-current draw drives!

Cons: The plastic top can get hot and smell if you use 10k drives. Whoops. :P

Other: If you have USB3 ports, and fast drives--get it and you will be amazed at how fast an external drive can be. Re-use drives that would normally sit around and collect dust. I am going to buy loads of these enclosures, and put them on my home server as storage.

Pros: It is for USB3.0, price is low, package contains pouch. It could be easily connected to PC. Also it looks good.

Cons: Not so good precision, quite hard to insert disc into, but nothing to be mentioned. Material is plastic, but still looks good and weight is adequate.

Other: I can recommend this for everyone who need cheap and fast external storage and who will not change storage medium so often.

Pros: It has really improved spedd, comparing to my old usb 2.0 hdd case. The cable that comes with is very good, true usb 3.0 cable.

Cons: The inside material doesn't have a good quality, and the back case made by metal, does not feel good.

Other: If you dont mind about good looking material, it works fine.

Pros: Nice product, very well put together. fitting the SATA hard drive into it was very straight forward. the supplied screwdriver was a bonus. The included U.S.B 3.0 cable is of a high quality and a good snug fit. I have had transfer speeds of up to 14MB per second through USB 2.0

Cons: the mirror finish on the back shows every finger print and smudge. the leatherette pouch is a tight fit and offers no real protection (not padded) there is nowhere to store the supplied USB 3.0 cable.

Other: Very good product, would recommend to a friend.

Pros: The enclosure has USB 3.0 support which is a big improvement in speed over USB 2.0. It doesn't need a second cable for power. And it does not get hot. I copied 200 GB of movies from the drive in this enclosure to my computer which took several hours and it got only mildly warm!

Cons: It isn't quite obvious how to open it. After you unscrew the one screw you have to slide one side down and it comes off. The rest is easy.

Other: A cheap way to get an external HDD if you have a spare 2.5" HDD.

Pros: this item is my favourite, easy to use, PnP, no driver required, cable is long enough (1m) the pouch is enough to fit in with the cable, easy to carry, the HDD fits in perfect without movement inside.

Cons: build quality a little low (the metal dosent line up on the sides)

Other: for this price it's a bargain in my opinion, a must
