    Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)

    Pros: Cheap, monoblock (no moving parts). Comes with HDMI cable. Can be used as webcam when connected to PC. It really produces FullHD recordings.

    Cons: 1. Two LEDs in front are **NOT**infrared. They are simply 2 white ultrabright LEDs. Will have to open the unit and cut them off since their reflection in the windshield in the night will blind the driver. 2. Doesn't start recording when power in the car turns on. You will have to turn it on and then press the OK button. 3. LEDs on back are too bright. 4. Manual is non-existent (just a random mix of English words). 5. Front LEDs turn on every time you connect the unit to the computer. 6. It has an option to rotate the image to be placed upside-down in the car, but it doesn't affect the Up/Down buttons' behaviour.

    Other: Good buy if you don't mind to fix it a bit yourself. If you need something more ready to use, buy a more expensive one.

    Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)

    Pros: The product is sleek and comes with good quality finish. The set up is simple and intuitive to use. The g force setting option is useful. Product is able to take high temperature in the car under the hot sun.

    Cons: The infrared sensor does not work. It is just two white LED light. The start up menu is in Russian. It will take some tuition to go to the language set up menu to change it. The user manual is not clear.

    Other: A resonable priced product for the peace of mind while driving.
