  • Great Cable!

Pros: -Works perfectly with my 32GB Ipod 5.5G Video -Does not have prongs on it, so you can just plug it in then rip it out, do not have to push little buttons. -shorter Ipod plug, looks cool when my Black ipod is plugged into it. -Nice length -Never a problem connecting my Ipod to my computer

Cons: Does seem a little cheap, but it does say "Designed by Apple in California Assembled in China." Except for missing an apple on the usb plug, looks official

Other: Need a cool black Ipod charger? Get this one. Works well and is a wonderful cable, for main use or backup.

  • Black is the new, uh, black!

Pros: I've never quite understood why Apple would go to all the trouble of making black phones and white phones and (at least with the 3G phone) setting up that whole 'class society' thing ("my black 3G is better than your white 3G") (though I do laugh at how they cut it all down again with the 3Gs) (but I digress!) and then make all of the accessories in any colour you like, so long as you like white. DX have come to the party with this neat little black cable that works every bit as well as the original one does, only it's nicer, 'cos it's black (and it matches my black phone).

Cons: Some of the aftermarket iphone cables I've bought from DX have been a bit of a tight fit at the end that plugs into the phone though, in fairness, this particular model is better than some of the others I've tried. Another con is that DX asks you to write cons, even when there aren't any! :-)

Other: Bottom line: just buy it, it's fine!

  • Cheap and works

Pros: Works flawlessly in my iPhone 3GS (OS 3.x).
Looks better connected to a black phone than the standard white cable (vanity thing, I know).

Cons: Connector "sticks" to the phone a little harder, and is a bit harder to insert, than the original cable.
Still, I don't believe there's any chance of harming the phone itself (break the connector, etc), so it's not really a big con.

Other: If you're looking for a secondary car / what-not charging cable, this is not a bad choise.
Apple original cables are outrageously priced, so forget them and get this.
Paired with a USB power source (12V for the car for example), this does the job very well.

Pros: It works on my iPod nano.

Cons: I bought two of these. One of them wouldn't fit into the dock connector of my iPhone or my iPod nano.
When I plugged it into my iPhone it kept connecting and disconnecting.

Other: You're taking a gamble buying this. I'm much more satisfied with sku 38249. Spend the extra four cents and get that one. Who cares what color it is?

Pros: The price is great and well below the standard price of a docking cable from Apple
The color black instead of white
    The cord is durable

Cons: The connection that plugs into the actual Iphone could have been built better, mine came apart when i tried unplugging it from my phone. It snapped back together easily but I had to use crazy glue around the edges for a permanent solution

Other: Alright cable for the price, build quality aside, this cable is a good buy

  • Awesome! Even if they weren't so cheap!

Pros: These are great! They look really nice, and have the markings that the OEM Apple ones have on them. They are very clean looking and nobody would ever be able to tell that you paid under $2 for it. I have 3 and will no doubt order more and recommend it to everyone!

Cons: Really none, the first time you plug it into the dock connector on your iPod or iPhone, it is a little bit difficult because the little prongs on the side are out a bit far, but after plugging in once, they adjust to where they should be and it's never difficult again. Also, they don't work with the OEM Apple wall charger (the little cubes) but I'm sure this just Apple being spiteful because they work with my computers (PC & Mac) and my aftermarket wall chargers.

Other: Definitely buy a bunch! They're so cheap and work just great, why ever be without a cord when you can get them for this price?!

Pros: WELL INS KINDA A GOOD BUILT CABLE. when i recieved it i tried it on my itouch 2nd generation and nothing... WELL SINCe it was only like 1 dollar 50 cents it didnt really matter .. then my cousin calls me and asks me if i have an extra ipod charger (coencidence huh) and i told him than it didnt work on mine but he has a nano so he came and tried it a it worked... so i think its my ipod because i have tried about 3 or 4 other chargers and they dont work for my itouch so i think its the itouch

Cons: i had no use for is so i didnt serve me for any good but a small little gift

Pros: It's cheap, it works, and it didn't fry my iPhone. Really, that's all I could ask. It's always scary buying a third-party charger because there is some chance it will damage the expensive item it was bought for. This one works fine, and is a handy extra charger. I also like the black color, since my iPhone is black.

    Cons: None at all.

Other: I'm glad I took the risk. Shortly after buying it as a backup, I smashed the original charger that came with my iPhone. This one is now doing full-time duty and works fine.

posted by silsan on 07:02:38 G9T 14/09/2010 certificated customer

Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)

Pros: price was much cheaper than almost all other places, the wires were black, compared to apple white cord, so it does not show how dirty it gets. plus black looks better

Cons: the only problem is, maybe its just mine, but the connector does not seem to fit in perfectly. it could go in and charge it and synch it, but don't seem to go in as well as the original.

Other: buy it! if you need to get a another charger/sync cable, why not get a black one?
