2-Port USB 3.0 SuperSpeed PCI-E Controller Card

Pros: Plugged the card in, loaded the drivers and it worked at USB 3.0. See other thoughts below.

Other: Perhaps a little overpriced at this stage but price will drop as becomes mainstream.

Pros: -USB 3.0 Speed (usb 3.0 is teorically ten times faster than usb 2.0). ***Spanish: -Velocidad USB 3.0 (teoricamente el usb 3.0 es diez veces más rápido que el usb 2.0).

Cons: None really, only you will need usb 3.0 devices to make the most of its possibilities. ***Spanish: Ninguno realmente, sólo que necesitarás dispositivos usb 3.0 para sacarle todo el partido.

Other: Perfect to manage a lot of data in usb devices like hard disks or flash memories. Do not waste this ports for mouses, keyboards or to charge something by usb. ***Spanish: Perfecto para administrar mucha información a través de dispositivos usb como pueden ser discos duros o memorias flash. No malgastes estos puertos para ratones, teclados, o para cargar algo a través del usb.

Pros: High speed when used with USB 3.0 devices. Higher speed than average when used with USB 2.0 devices. 2 USB 3.0 ports. Automatic detection by my OS (Linux) so no need to install drivers. Good build quality. Proper packaging (nice card board packaging in stead of blister).

Cons: None really. The card does what it supposed to do.

Other: Good buy and a great addition to my PC.

Pros: Easy to install. Just plug in the card and install the driver from mini-CD.
It uses the same power supply as used by a floppy drive

Cons: On one of my PCs it conflicted with some of the installed drivers. Still can't figure out with which ones. Required going to Device manager and doing "turn it off and on again"

Other: Worth buying if you're gonna upgrade your old PC. I consider buying 1-2 such cards for mices, printers and USB hubs and one internal USB 3.0 Hub/Card reader (SKU 65971) for USB-sticks.

Cons: You might experience some problems with the driver that comes in mini-CD (In "828U3" folder). In that case try going to the http://www.station-drivers.com/page/renesas.htm and download the latest driver - that fixed the problem for me.

Pros: I needed more usb speed for copying files to my mediaplayer with HD en external HD's. Local store asked about 50 euro for an usb 3.0 pci-e card. So i came to deal extreme and found this1. The product arrived after 2 weeks in an envelope which held an box with the card and mini-cd. After installing it in my desktop i installed the software from the mini-cd. I'm using W7 and had absolute no problems. Testing the file transfer and the speed is about 98MB per sec. Much faster then my 2.0

Other: Good product for a nice price!

Pros: This controller works perfectly with Windows 8 preview. Drivers installed faultlessly, without the need for the (supplied) CD. Quicker transfer times with a USB3 device than over USB2 port. Small form factor card.

Cons: Gold plated contacts were a bit patchy, but not enough to be a problem. Box got crushed in the post, but device was fine. Driver CD is 'mini' so no good with a slot loading CD drive.

Other: Perfect if you're looking to start out with one or two USB3 devices. I would buy more if I needed them.

Other: Great product for upgrading older PC in motherboard which supports PCI-E bus.

Pros: It's way faster than my onboard USB 2.0, i was able to get up to 100mb/s write speeds on my external drive, while i was only able to get up to 28mb/s before, and on top of that the device is realy tiny, not taking any space inside the pc and avoiding cluter with other cards (my sound card for an example, would bump into the video card if i used the same slot i use for this one)

Cons: It's a bit trick to get it to work the first time, it is necessary to use the drivers that come in the mini cd, and the folders in it do not seem to be labeled correctly, the one for this device is "828U3"

Other: If you need a usb 3.0 controller for a cheap price, buy this one, it's useful and worth the investiment

Pros: - Card worked directly after installing in PC on Windows 7 Ultimate. - Much faster than my USB onboard USB ports. Data to and from my external hard disk (USB3) now transfers much faster than before. - No problem phycally installing in PC. Does fit nice in slot. - Good built quality. - Tip: Order additional USB 3.0 SuperSpeed Male to Female Extension Cable (180CM-Length)

Other: Great USB card for half the European price.
