What is Bulk Rate? BulkRate is a semi-wholesale system with items priced separately from retail. When you use bulk rates, a flat $1.70 registered air mail fee will automatically be added to your cart to ensure delivery of package. While BulkRate's intention is to offer cheaper prices when you buy in bulk, because it is priced separately it on occassions show a higher than retail price. That's why we ask you to enter BULKRATE as a coupon code to manually activate the rates. You can always opt not to use the bulk rates. If you are looking for wholesale prices please feel free to contact us.

Pros: Allows you to connect modern high-speed USB 3.0 devices! Card itself works great. Based on Renesas D720200AF chipset. Some online publications claims that it is faster that the original NEC D720200F chip, I don't test that but newer chip is definetely better. Has an external power connector. But most of all, the price is real low! For me it is almost twice cheaper to buy USB 3.0 card on DX than in local retail store.
Cons: Power connector could be Molex, not floppy because many modern power supplies don't even have floppy power connector. There was an adapter with my card, but it so poorly made that one of the wires fell of from connector when I pick it up.
Other: If you need a USB3.0 card buy this one. For me it is the best 2 ports card on DX today.

Pros: This card does indeed connect a USB 3.0 external drive at USB 3.0 speed. It is supplied with an adapter cable, in case you do not have a floppy power (small 4-pin) connector in your system. The adapter cable ends in a 4-pin Molex plug.
Cons: Does not use an NEC/Renesas µPD720200 USB 3.0 controller chip, but rather a Chinese clone of same. Must be close enough, because it works with the same NEC drivers. The power adapter cable is of poor quality. It took several attempts to plug it into a Molex power socket in my system, because the pins in the adapter cable's Molex plug were so loose.
Other: As long as you realize what you're getting, this is probably a worthwhile buy. It is certainly a very affordable way to add USB 3.0 to an older desktop PC.

Pros: Works OK.
USB 3.0 is very fast
Extra power cord-adapter.
Cons: No .inf driver for NEC chip. Only setup.exe both on CD and in internet.
Other: I using this controller with USB 3.0 external HDD. Reading speed is over 100mb/sec.
Speed of HDD over USB 3.0 or direct SATA-connection is similar.

Pros: * Very cheap * Works at (almost) full USB3 speed * Easy installation * With recent GNU/Linux distros, you don't need to install any drivers (tried with Debian 6/7).
Cons: None yet (people on the forum says this device will only work for a few months, we'll see about that)
Other: Good card, a cheap way to get USB 3.
