2" R.P.M. Tachometer for Vehicles (0~8000 RPM/DC 12V)

Pros: Cheap. Works OK. Nice and compact for someone that doesn't want a 'monster tach'.

Cons: The smoke lens makes it too dark to see very well. OK at night but during the day the needle is very hard to see. Would be better with a clear lens. The mounting system it comes with is pretty useless. I just drilled a hole in my dashboard.

Other: Not really useful during the day but may be fixable by removing the dark-tinted lens.

Pros: Good size, not too conspicuos. Good price also. It seems to work really!

Cons: Poor visibility of the needle at bright day, and too brillant in the night. Very confusing the setting of the cyl. number. It has a label wit 4-6-8 cyl but under the label the plastic hull is marked with 3-4-6 cyl! In other words, the owner has to guess with try and error to discover where the RPMs match accurately with the real speed of the engine.

Other: All in one, a good purchase if it keeps running in order. For this price I cant expect the quality of a Vdo gauge....
