Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: Tiny board, a good choice if somebody is looking for a cheap hall-effect sensor to monitor currents.
Cons: The clearance between PCB traces in the input section is quite small (under 1mm), so I would not dare to use it as it is at mains voltage (or even above ~50V). Safety first!
Other: The ACS712 is a very good chip for doing current sensing, and this simple board allows it to use it a very simple way.
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: - Small; - Easy to use; - 20A tolerant; - Good connector.
Cons: - The power supply could be in 3V.
Other: - Very nice sensor for many applications. - Works with DC and AC current.
