20mW 405nm Blue-Violet/Royal Purple Laser Module (3V)

Pros: Easy to use. Strong build.

Cons: Completely NOT focusable. There is a focusable lense when you open it but it's imposible to adjust it, maybe because it's glued, rather than assembled, so it would be imposible to focus unless you detach it, and put a good quality Coated Lense, for purple lasers. That lens cost about 8$ in eBay o sites like that, here in Dx there aren't good lense for this kind of laser.

Other: Good for fun an quite powerfull, you can use it to make draws in dark (in tv or screens) but as it isn't powerfull the draws disappear quickly. I wanted to buy the SKU: 80923(100mW) wich is much more powerfull but it isn't in stock.

Pros: Great 405nm Module. This module IS focusable! The lensholder is glued, but if you heat he brass to around 50°C it was possible to unscrew the lens. Remove it completely to clean it from the glue. If it is focused on a small dot, you can even burn things!

Cons: Epoxy at the diode/Driver. But you can remove it with a sharp knife.

Other: Workin current 150-170mA @ 3V

Pros: Reliable blueray diode laser module. Not so small beam, as this is a diode with focusing lens - not a DPSS-crystal. But the beam has good and low divergence. Will not get hot, so duty cycle is not a matter here.

Cons: Low visibility. Not a surprise as this is a near ultraviolet laser. In the dark the beam is somewhat visible.

Other: Good UV-laser for this price. If you don't know what do use UV-lasers for, this is not the unit for you. For visibility choose green. Not to be confused with 450 nm lasers, which are true blue and not ultraviolet/violet.

Pros: Cheap laser, with control board, spring for battery and press-button, all in a simple but usefull container.

Cons: This laser was ready-made for some kind of laser-flashlight. It comes without manual or even a simple explanation of where to connect the wires. Luckily someone else has put in a review and pictures (thank you sincerely for that!), otherwise I would have had a tough time as an electronics beginner.

Other: Good value for money purple laser

Pros: Nothing more - nothing less. Hwat u see in the picure, is what u get.

Cons: Rather poor buildt quality. All components sould bed resoldered for smooth operation. My laser was unstable until I resoldered all components. Extremely poor packeting from DX, and the laser casing crushed other items in the envelope. The brass casing was undamaged, but some of the components on circetboard was damaged.

Other: Dont buy unless u have a specific need or project. It cannont be used for anything out of the box.
