Pros: Cheap and effective. Have used it with iprorecorder Tapes and records well. Advantage is price and can plug in existing earphones. Voice Memos shows recordings, but somehow I have tuned this off and can recover my recordings to prove its ok The clip is convenient to attach to your collar
Cons: None that I can see. The plugs fit well Guess only limitation is the bulkyness that occurs because you have the male and female connectors to join your earphones in.
Other: it works for ipod touch

Pros: If you have a pair of headphones witch won't fit with your iPhone 2G, or if you want to have a microphone and a button to control the music you're listening to, then buy this product. It's cheap, and it works like a charm.
Cons: None, except the microphone is not as good as the internal iPhone microphone, but what can you expect...
Other: If you have a iPhone 2G, buy this. If you have an iPhone 3G but don't have a hands-free, get this.

Pros: Has integrated microphone, this is the reason i bought it, because my earplugs don't have an microphone and with this i can talk handsfree when i am on my bicycle Button works with iPhone. 1 press = play/pause, 2 quick presses = next track
Cons: Ihave to press the button quite hard to get a reaction from my iPhone
Other: Works great, buy it if you are using non-apple earplugs, and want to use the ease of a integrated microphone and audio control button

Pros: Dirt Cheap.
Reasonably good-looking no-frills design.
Electrically sound (no half-working volume knob)
Cons: It fell apart on me after about a week of use.
a little bit of tape takes care of this, but that negates the reasonably good looks.
Also, the wire is too short to stick your phone in your pocket, while having the mic near your neck.
Other: Cheap, cheerful, you get what you pay for.
Bring tape or superglue.

Pros: No noticable changes in headphone audio quality, clip is of decent quality, and the jack and plug seem decent.
Mic is loud enough and sounds fine for voiceuse.
Cons: Short cable, build quality.
Killed it after one day taking off my pants (with my Desire in the pocket) with the clip still on the collar of my T-shirt... Since the cable's so short and the jack on the Desire is pretty tight, it pulled the cable right out of the mic clip...
The housing came apart completely, with the back (the part the clip is on) still clipped to my shirt. Like I said, the clip is of decent quality ;)
Other: My recommendation: Buy these things, test whether or not they work correctly, and if the electronics are fine, superglue them shut completely. The front and back are just pressed together with little plastic pins, so it's no wonder the damned things fall apart so easily.
I put my electronics back into place, snapped the housing shut and applied a liberal dose of superglue... now it's more or less unkillable and works perfectly :)
5 Stars if it came glued from the factory... still a great buy at 4 stars though ;)

Pros: Completely OK for the price. Works just out of the box. I use it with HTC HD2 for connecting external earphones. Button works OK. I modified it to add two buttons more (for prev-next song in HTC HD2) , and it has some spare space inside for fitting two other buttons, so its litte big size for me was a pro, not a con. 3,5 jack is small.
Cons: Not extraordinary build quality. A bit bigger than expected (not a con for me, but maybe for "normal" use. Mic gives low volume for HTC
Other: Take it. As usual good price-quality ratio and usefulness.

Pros: I use this to call people from the iPod Touch, through Wi-Fi Phone apps on the device. It works well, and the button's a nice addition too:-) I also use it for recording audio, and it works well for that as well. It has a nice length, not too long for me, not too short either.
Cons: the cable is attached to the remote very loosely, so yanking by the remote is NOT ; if you MUST yank, yank by the cable, not the remote:-) But seriously, unplug from the plug, don't just yank it out.
Also, the cable could be higher quality, but it is an inexpensive cable, so you get what you pay for.
Other: It's a good deal. Despite being a little bit on the lower end of the quality scale, it still does it's job. And that's a good thing. Thanks dealextreme!!!
