3.5mm Stereo Audio Adapter with Microphone for iPhone 2G/3G/3GS (80CM-Length)

Pros: Works as expected: microphone, button, volume control.
Fully stereo capable! This one has real stereo AND volume control which is not common. The cheaper devices have a single channel slider which means mono sound, but not this one!
Looks quite good. It actually looks better in real life than I've expected from the photo.
All the plastics and strain-relief seem to be of a decent quality, even though as I've understand now - with my (ab)use nothing lasts longer than couple of months (not even the original apple earphones). Oh maybe except Sony's earphones that have some sort of unbreakable cable... I wonder how they do it.

Cons: None really. Maybe the price, but look at what you get for that price! There's nothing cheaper and as functional as this!

Other: The most abused part of earbud cable is near the device if it's in your pocket and I don't know about you, but I break at least 4 cables a year. At this price it's much more affordable to not worry about that anymore, just be sure to have a spare BEFORE the one you're using breaks.
If you're not using the volume control and don't care about the lloks of it too much, consider buying a cheaper one like sku.27966

Pros: Built sturdy enough that it won't break from normal use... Wouldn't try flinging it around or being rough though. Gold plated plug! It's just really nice :P Long cord, which is really nice if you have a short headphone cord, or want to put the phone in your pocket. The volume control works really well! And the mic is almost as good as the usual apple one.

Cons: The button for controlling music playback is a bit cheap, and gets stuck sometimes.

Other: Buy this, as long as it's under 4$ it's worth it.

Pros: Giving exactly the same quality of sound with your earphones connected to it. So nice earphones give u also nice sound with this thing Delivered very quick in a less than 2 weeks time to Europe. Buttons working for music and calls, play/pause, receive/end calls, vlume up and down for music and calls

Pros: Those stars might look inflated, but these things are simply perfect.
I have a bunch of them wandering around my house and office, so I always have one ready when I go sporting, travel long-distance, kill the noise in the datacentre, or just like an external volume slider.

Cons: My only gripe is that it is incompatible with my (rather old) Creative Zen Touch. I need to pull the plug out a bit to get sound.
Maybe the cord could be some 10cm longer, but I haven't had any real length issues

Other: Good Stuff.
I've used these on my HTC Hero and still use them on my HTC Desire Z
The design reminds me of Belkin and none has died on me in over a year.
The volume slider makes this device useful, even without an iPhone.

Pros: The adapter is well-made and I really can't say anything bad about it's quality. The wire is soft enough, the jack is nice and small, adapter's body doesn't squeak when I try to twist it, the button has perceptible feedback.

Cons: Doesn't work wit my Samsung Galaxy S. I can hear correct sound only while I press the button on the adapter. Can't answer the phone with it - the other person just doesn't hear me.

Other: I guess it's just a question of compatibility, unfortunately. The thing itself looks really nice, especially for it's money.

Cons: Volume does not change the actual volume on the phone like the apple headphones. Not as small as integrated remote on other headphones (like apple headphones).

Other: Great buy, adds more features to your headphones, you can receive calls and use any headphones as hands free, no more getting your iphone out of your pocket to change a song...

Pros: This audio adapter works great!
It is very affordable, and it allows me to use all my favorite headphones with my android telephone.
The built in microphone works well, is very light and can be clipped to a piece of clothing or whatever you like.
I was also glad the audo-quality does not seem to be diminished by putting this adapter between your headphones and your telephone/mp3 player.
Best part: in the standard Android music player i can pause my music with the "pick up / hang up" button. In Winamp for Android i can even double click that button to skip to the next track!

Cons: There aren't many cons. The build quality seems decent enough, but i haven't bad the product long enough to determine this for sure.

Other: It does what it's supposed to do for a very good price. I wouldn't hesitate to get this.

Pros: Nice plug & work with HTC Sensation. Cheap and very usefull. Easily plug, native behavior, sound and mic are OK. You would probably find better but not for such a cheap price.

Cons: Fragile, weak, easily broken... Don't expect to use it everyday for months & months. What a pity !

Other: Would be ok for a smooth and occasionnal use. I'm pretty sure it would match most of Android smartphones. No problem on HTC Sensation.

Pros: Does it's job, picks up sound as it should, no connection problems. Pretty good value for it's worth. Has volume control (this is independent from the phone's), and also the "button" on the top DOES work with Siri for my iphone 4s.

Cons: The ONLY problem i have with it was the 2 ends of the wire (connecting to 3.5mm plug, and adapter) both started to break. The outer plastic casing broke and i could see the wires inside, obviously the headphone i had connected to it started to phase in and out. To be fair, i was using this for snowboarding, so it was exposed to below 0 celcius regularly at least twice a week.

Other: if i knew it would break, i would've bought a few and use shrink wrap on the ends. Definitely bang for buck, break a few of these is still cheaper than the other ones.

Pros: It works great, in android can play/pause with button, mic. has good gain, no need to point to lips, volume control is good.

Cons: I think the cable lengt may be the con, or the pro, if you use jeans the cable is ok to add some short cable headphones (like ones that come with sony speakerphone, that haves a control and a 3.5mm female and comes with a short cable headphones), but if you use cargo or pants with pockets in the knee, is too short and don't reach the chest.

Other: Build quality is ok, not so good, not so bad, simply is a cable :)
