Pros: Its made in China(like me)
    Works for my HTC TyTn
    Uses ok quality plastic.
Works with most of the HTC models that use USB headphone jacks.

Cons: Casing easily can be broken
Might break easily because of the type of casing used. But it can be always soldered back on again

Other: BUY IT if you want a cheap price on this.

Pros: HTC ExtUSB to 3.5mm Jack converter, for a great price. I've been looking for this for some while, but in all the other shops the adapters are too expensive. Here at DX I can buy it at a normal, or even cheap price.
The cable length is good, plug fits good into my phone and audio quality is also good.

Cons: No real cons, maybe the cable is a little bit on the thin side, but I don't think this will cause any problem.

Other: If you'd prefer to use your own earplugs on your HTC phone, buy this.

Pros: - it just does exactly what is is supposed to do
    - it is really really cheap
    - now you can use all 3.5 mm headphones, instead of only the expencive HTC once

Cons: - non really. it's just that you will have an extra connection between the phone and the earplugs

Other: You can't go wrong with this thing. if you have an HTC phone order one of these with your next shipment.

  • Cheap Adaptor

posted by Jooyz on 19:37:54 G7T 06/07/2009 certificated customer

Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)

Pros: its cheap and it does what it suppose to do so no complaint there. this adaptor will enable you to use any earphone rather than the standard with the mini usb connection.

Cons: the housing of mini usb connector is rather weak and can get broken easily so please be careful

Other: if you need the adaptor then get it...it wont hurt your wallet

  • Works great on HTC P3300, even radio works!

posted by ThinkPad on 12:21:53 G7T 14/07/2009 certificated customer

Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)

Pros: Plugs into the miniUSB connector of various HTC devices
Even the FM-radio option works with this cable (the FM-radio will only work if you connect an headset, because the wires act as a antenna).
The reception is not very good, but it works if i hold my P3300 in the air
    VERY VERY CHEAP!

Cons: Cable is very flexible, feels like it is gonna snap any minute.
USB connector had one of the clips that hold the housing around the USB connector snapped when i received this item

Other: If you need to connect an 3.5mm speaker device to your HTC device with miniUSB, this is wat you need.

  • Does the job

posted by EnnaN on 06:21:38 G9T 27/09/2009 certificated customer

Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)

Pros: The standard USB-headset that came with my G1 wasn't really for me: i hate these kinda in-ear things, because they hurt. To be able to listen to music without the headsetthingy, i needed something to go from jack to usb. A cable like this. This one is very cheap and does the job so far. No noticed decline in quality or static or anything. Didn't break my telephone.

Cons: Feels a bit cheap/thin in the cable, so it might be breaking anytime.

Other: Affordable, usefull and works perfectly: you want!

  • Works, but 2 just to be safe.

posted by TehLerb on 00:30:58 G12T 29/12/2009 certificated customer

Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)

Pros: It works with my HTC Magic.
Connections seem clean (no broken audio)
No cross-pin connections like some others I've bought

Cons: Build quality is poor, e.g.
Exposed solder coming through plastic on side of 3.5mm plug
    Liable to break.
As with most of these, detected as headset, so must remove to make phonecalls or you won't be able to use microphone.

Other: If you need to get audio out of your HTC phone, it's the cheapest way to get it. It's a good backup for a Bluetooth receiver, in case you run low on batteries.

  • Complete your order with this if you have an HTC

    posted by enRiki70 on 11:21:21 G3T 11/03/2010 certificated customer

Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)

Pros: Fits all HTC mini-USB devices (HTC uses a special mini-USB with an extra pin for the audio). I use it on my HTC Diamond.
You can use it as antenna, without earphones, to listen radio stations with the build-in speaker.
    Cheap, little and well build.

Cons: It is easy to loose it. I don't see another con...

Other: A must have if you own an HTC device. Add it in your next order.

  • Useful and cheap

posted by CrashCore on 00:25:36 G4T 02/04/2010 certificated customer

Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)

Pros: -Really useful to be able to use whatever cheap (or expensive and high fidelity) headphones you already have rather than buying proprietary ones.
    -Awesome price!
-Cord is flexible, and everything seems to be relatively solid.

Cons: -Biggest (and only) con was that it didn't work when I first got it! Two pins (Mic+ and Switch) were bent down and touching the outside grounding shield. It was easy to disassemble and reassemble though, so it wasn't too much trouble.

Other: Excellent, excellent price. Would be a perfect product if it didn't have to fix it before use. Seems to be of pretty decent quality also. Most people seem to get them in working condition, so I would strongly recommend it.

Pros: Used this on my HTC TYTN2 and it works right out of the box no problems. Sound quality of my music is at least 10 times better compared to using the stock HTC headphones. You'll need a decent pair of headphones to hear the difference.

Cons: Nothing too much except it came without packaging in my order and was flinging around inside the package. No damage though, and no bent pins everyone seems to be having problems with.....????

Other: Pretty nice plug and worth the price. I don't know why HTC does not have 3.5MM already built in since a lot of other phones have it already.
