    Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)

    Pros: The thermometer does work well taking a reading from the ear and reporting the result in either celcius or centigrade. It appears to give an accurate reading.

    Cons: They manufacturer has tried to put too much into a single item. It frequently freezes with nonsense characters displaying on the screen and requires the removal of the battery to reset it. Once you reset it then you have to re-enter the time or it doesn't want to work. It is a real nuisance as I find it crashes frequently. This is hardly the behavior you want when you need to take someone's temperature.
