3-LED Safety Bike Tail Light 2xAAA

Pros: Small, lightweight, sleek styling (doesn't look as much like a toy as some) slightly more red and less orange than pictured, runs a long time on 2 x AAA batteries, brighter than I thought it would be, rubber gasket and power button for good water resistance. Easy to remove from mounting clip.

Cons: Fricton tabs instead of spring battery contacts, greatly reduced brightness after ~ 40 hours (flashing mode) running on NiMH (but kept running much longer), minimal light output to sides (but I didn't want a large, thick light), uses AAA instead of AA cells so runtime is shorter (but smaller and lighter weight due to it). I wish it had a separate battery hatch with a rubber gasket instead of popping lens off to swap batteries, but it would have to be much larger to do that and I wanted it small.

Other: When I bought it, DealExtreme had fewer rear lights on their 'site but they added several recently that are very similar except more LEDs. I think it's enough light but might choose sku 5749 next time to use AA instead of AAA cells. The picture makes it look thicker than others but it is just smaller width and height with about same thickness. I am happy with it for the price and use it regularly. To get it delivered for this price is amazing.

Pros: The LEDs are nice and bright with good battery life. I like having the option to choose a flashing, partially flashing, or solid light. Fit well on my Specialized Rock Hopper bike. Light can double as a reflector.

Cons: It would be nice if it held AA batteries for extra long runtimes but I like how this is very light weight since it's mounted on my saddle bag.

Other: Buy it if you need it! Much cheaper than anything I've found locally and I don't have to worry too much about it falling off or getting stolen.

Pros: Very simple construction, yet feels very solid to hold. I bought 8 of these for me and my brothers and none of them have broken yet.. So yeah! ^^ +They come in retail packaging! (not the best packaging, but shhh!)

Cons: Takes AAA batts.. grrr. I hate AAA.

Other: Nothing wrong with these lights, for their price you really go wrong, right?

Pros: Quick release.
Bike mount.
Clip for jerseys and backpacks.
Different blinking modes.
Weather seals look to be pretty good although I haven't had to test it yet.
Light and compact.

Cons: I don't really see one yet

Other: For the price, this is about as good a bicycle warning light as it gets. Buy one! I probably will buy another just to have an extra.

Pros: Very nice little light for this price.
Easy to remove to keep it from being stolen.
Easy to install, installs on the seat takes about 5 minutes if you know how to use a screwdriver.
Long battery time becuse of the LEDs.
I use this on my bike and my friends wanted one too so i gave him one on his birthday. Perfect gift.
Alot of different light modes, ex. blink scroll etc. very nice.

Cons: Pretty hard to change batteries.
Probably not water-resistant.

Other: If you wan't a standard light for a good price, this is perfect.

Pros: --Good light for the price. Not too much bright, but it´s enough for riding at night.
--Lasts a lot. It works with two AAA batteries (look at AAA rechargeable batteries in DX, you will safe money).
--3 modes.
--Very easy to install, and doesn´t move when riding, even in difficult trails.
--Lightweight.
--Fits different size of seatposts.

Cons: --The switch is very small. Maybe a little bit bigger should be easier to click.

Other: Good light, very cheap, fits different seatpost sizes.

Pros: This light is surprisingly bright, and comes with 3 useful modes: rapid flashing / cycling between 3 LEDs, synced flashing of all 3 LEDs, and continuous on. The quality is very good at this price, and the mount attached securely to my seatpost.

Cons: Not much to talk about here, considering it does everything it claims to do, and is cheap. Only areas of concern would be battery life and water resistance, but other reviews say these are not a problem.

Other: If you're a cyclist and you want a taillight that works well, get this light on a budget.

Pros: Excellent price! Has 3 modes, sequential left-right-left blink, all blink, and a constant on. It's bright enough to see from a good distance away. Really simple to put on. You can mount it on your seatpost or even on your belt.

Cons: None really! Like another reviewer said, the button is a bit small.... but if you're standing still while you're turning it on its no problem at all. Its also kinda cheap, since its all plastic construction.... but c'mon, its only 3 dollars!

Other: Can you really go wrong for just 3 dollars and some change, shipped? Even if yours is defective it'll even make a nice paperweight. But I got two of them and they both work perfectly. I'd definitely recommend this to everyone I know, and I'd recommend against it for people I don't like.... heh.

Pros: Great product - buy it!! I use it in the rain and snow and other times - it is excellent. I just slip it onto my book bag which has a detail made just for that - safer than leaving it on the bike!

Cons: Build quality is ok, but the fixing thing sucks if you want to attach it to your bike. Perhaps you could use tape?

Pros: I bought this for my son (toddler bike) & was quite surprised on the brightness and effectiveness. At night time, the LED can be seen from afar! It has 3 modes to choose from. Received as advertised.

Cons: Build quality and durability. It's made entirely of plastic.

Other: For only $3, this is a great buy! LED is very bright and effective.
