  • A cheap fix for your torch

    Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)

    Pros: Used one of these to mend my AKOray K-106 Easy to fit. I spent longer waiting for the soldering iron to heat up than fitting it. The three modes are Bright, Dim and Flash. After solving the problem listed below I am happy.

    Cons: I don't know if I am unlucky but after fitting the driver board it went into some strange mode where it would take up to 100 seconds for the LED to light after switching it ON. I did not know if the torch was ON or OFF and for a while I thought it was broken. I searched a few forums and eventually cured this by switching the torch on and off about 50 times and now it works properly.
