    Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)

    Pros: Very cheap comparing with the original part from Apple (30 euro!). And yes it works! The iPhone charges and also the datatransfer works. When you think what is so special about it? The new ligthing connection uses cables/connectors with an buildin chip to check if it is a genuine part. So this adapter has also a working chip.

    Cons: The click of the connectors (lighting and 30 pins) is a little bit stiff. I meaning with this the click of the orignal cable is a little bit smoother.

    Other: Very cheap and it works.

    Pros: it fits into the plug seamlessly. does data transfer. what more can you ask for?

    Cons: if you have a case that does not have the FULL bottom exposed, the charger will not work. It needs to be pushed in all the way. dimensions are a little off from the 30pin end so it looks slightly off.

    Other: get it if you need it! Does data-transfer as well. If you have a "charge only" 30pin cable, and you slap this adapter on, it will become a data transfer cable as well!
