What is Bulk Rate? BulkRate is a semi-wholesale system with items priced separately from retail. When you use bulk rates, a flat $1.70 registered air mail fee will automatically be added to your cart to ensure delivery of package. While BulkRate's intention is to offer cheaper prices when you buy in bulk, because it is priced separately it on occassions show a higher than retail price. That's why we ask you to enter BULKRATE as a coupon code to manually activate the rates. You can always opt not to use the bulk rates. If you are looking for wholesale prices please feel free to contact us.

Pros: CHEAP Moddable Works great! Did I mention cheap? This product is amazing I tell you! I tried sticking it in a sku.23653 (which I ordered from ebay and has a broken driver board) and I have to say that High is just as high as direct drive (or at least I can't tell the difference)Low is exactly what I need and Strobe seems very tactical if I do say so myself!!!
Cons: The problem with fitting it into sku.23653 is that I had to do quite a lot of dremeling to the smaller PCB to get it to fit into the brass led shell... I was super paranoid about cutting the traces or vias too short, and about them shorting against the brass shell's wall... Luckily, no such thing happened and I avoided this.. It would be nice if there was a datasheet on this product so I would know exactly where the second PCB is (it's slightly offset) and how large it is (too large for my application).
Other: If your flashlight doesn't have modes, or the modes are dead or something, GET THIS. After fussing with this 3 mode flashlight, I believe that the 5 mode one I have coming my way is going to be less than useful. High, low and strobe is all you really need in a flashlight IMO. Medium sounds like nonsense, and SOS is nice, but not necessary for an EDC flashlight. I recommend this problem if you're technically inclined enough to install it and handle any problems you may come across!

Pros: Curcuit board is as described.
The board is very easy to mod despite the fact that it came without any instructions. Memory mode works fine. All 5 modes are working nicely. The Mid and Low mode are really useful, mid being bright enough for distance throw and low being not too dim.
Cons: Board looks a little fragile. So pay a little attention when modding. Other than that, the board is okay.
The price could be slightly cheaper though.
Other: It's definitely a good buy if any of your circuit board is fried.

Pros: - It's very small and compact. - I like the high, middle and low modes - One, or two serially connected Li-ion battery cell is an accepted power source. - The memory mode is very useful.
Cons: - Strobe and S.O.S. modes is useless for me - The factory soldered cables is very thin, both cable is loosened immediately (not a big a cons, I replaced the thin cables to a thicker ones)
Other: Good, cheap driver. It's works perfectly.
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: - very small board - cheap - wide range of input voltage - keeps a minimal light on even when the batteries are extremely low, going into a kind of "low-strobe" mode
Cons: the memory and modes controller died after the first time I drained the batteries completely. since then it only works in HI mode
Other: I would buy this again for other DYI projects It would be nice to have better information on which driver to use for which emitter
