3W 180LM 3200K Warm White LED Emitter (3.4~3.8V)

Pros: - led gives light more to white, but it's possible like for mine. - very comfortable for eyes - the temperature of light is a little bit colder than halogen light - could be compared by light flow with 35 W halogen lamp, but only in one direction and driver was only 2.1 W instead 3W.

Cons: - I've expected that light will be warmer.

Other: - works at 3.45 V as declared - temperature on 20mm star with current 0.64A was 54 degree C max whent temperature of air was 22 degree C - very comfortable for eyes

Pros: I'm using 4 of these with SKU 14035 (320mA constant-current driver) in my kitchen for under-counter lighting. (This setup doesn't deliver the LED's full rated current, but I'm using minimal heat-sinking so I wanted things to stay cool.) The quality of the light is good for interiors. It's bluer than a tungsten-balanced CFL, but much yellower than average white LEDs. Before installing these lights, I was using a 50-LED string of warm-white holiday lights, but the light output was dismal. Four of these DX LEDs are about 4x brighter than the string, and they draw virtually the same current at the wall socket (approx 4W according to my Kill-A-Watt meter.) I'm totally satisfied.

Cons: The Polarity is not obvious. I thought the little "-" stamp on one leg was negative, but in my tests I found the opposite to be true! Use a low-current source to test each LED before installation.

Other: There are very few warm-white LEDs on DX. These are wonderful.

Pros: - Bright little LEDs, light up at ~200mA and runs well at 700mA - Polarity marks of mines are correct, you can see a small "-" on one leg, this is the minus pole - color is very good. rather neutral white than warm white, or something in between. I use them to light up my room and its very comfortable - bottom side of the emitter is potential free. this means you can glue the emitter on a metal plate or cooler without isolating

Cons: - get warm at 700mA. I know this is normal but in fact this LED does not reach the efficiency of later Cree bins, more heat will be generated at same current. Do not operate them without cooling for more than 5-10 seconds! They will heat up to 60°C instantly. - Dimming with variable current is not really a option. I use a pot to regulate the current, but by changing the current the light is flickering. A cree has for instance has no problems. For dimming, a PWM would be perfect, but they are expensive

Other: The price is unbeatable. For 3 bucks you get a good working emitter with very good tint and good brightness. A cree costs twice and are barely availibe in this tint. Good buy for me, I'm going to get more.
