Other: If you are a car enthusiast, and want to know more about your car's inner stuff, and also would like to know your actual gas mileage, this is one of the best gadgets. +1 for it's compact size. There are similar products, but they are looking like a GPS device, thus can lure burglars to break into your car.

Pros: Reasonably easy to set up, useful in 5 minutes. I use this to keep an eye on my engine coolant and true vehicle speed. My engine is prone to overheating and my speedometer tends to be optimistic where vehicle speed is concerned. This little device will give me near-realtime (2s delay) information from my engine. It can also scan my engine's computer for errors, to diagnose the check-engine light. The cable can be attached to the rear and side, for easy mounting.

Cons: The manual mentions using the USB port to install updates from the Internet, but fails to mention a website to download from. Also, the device uses the engine's native sensor and fault codes, making configuring and troubleshooting troublesome. $82 seems a bit much for a OBD sensor, microcontroller and 2-line display.
