5.0" Touch Screen LCD WinCE 6.0 GPS Navigator w/ FM + Internal 4GB USA & Canada Maps

Pros: - The Screen is very clear and easy to read, and has a very high resolution 800x480 display, with an adjustable backlight so that it can be clearly seen in daylight. - Touch screen is responsive, especially when used with the included stylus for accuracy. - The main shell is easy to use and allows you to change the GPS software path - There is also an option to load the Windows CE 6.0 interface, which is good. - The unit reports having 128MB of RAM, and appears very quick when running Igo Primo, even when using TTS (Text-to-Speech) - There is a lot of internal space (4GB) to store GPS navigation programs and Maps. (Igo Primo and USA and Canada maps are included) - The other functions such as Ebooks, picture, video and music playing work well. - It allows you to play music using the music application, and continue listening whilst using the GPS application. - It includes a built in FM Transmitter, which allows you to broadcast the GPS sound via FM frequencies, which allows you to tune in on your car radio and listen to the GPS instructions via your car speakers via the FM radio. - The GPS fixes a lock on the satellites quickly, and seems to be quite accurate. - The build quality is quite good, and seems substantial, although I have added a screen protector for good measure (From an Amazon Kindle, and then cut to size, although it is a little short of covering the whole screen) - Igo Primo runs quite well on this device, as it has a powerful processor and 128MB ram. It still runs fast even when using TTS. Although it lags a bit when using 3D Buildings aswell as TTS. - The Car suction holder works well, and sticks really well to the Windscreen (almost too well!) and the bracket holds the unit in place well, and has not fallen out yet whilst I have been testing it. - The speaker of the GPS unit provides loud and clear instructions, although at maximum volume the sound can become slightly tinny and distorted. - Windows CE 6.0 is in English language

Cons: - The speaker sometimes becomes distorted and tinny at high volumes. - It is not a full installation of Windows CE 6.0 (i.e the control panel is not available) - When using the FM Transmitter, the Internal speaker is muted, but there is no option to change this, without turning the FM transmitter off. - The FM transmitter can be temperamental, sometimes it will work, and other times the car radio will not pick it up, it might be due to the car radio antenna, or the transmitting power of the unit.

Pros: Buliding quality is OK, massive enought. Display is bright, no problem in sunlight. Easy to firmly attach to windshield (and can stay on it, too). iGO Primo works without problem in 800x480. Can play DivX video smoothly on full screen. Nice to have Microsoft Office Readers.

Cons: Maybe it's a unique problem with my device, but sound quality is poor. Sometimes the speaker is audible noisy, especially when connected with USB connector! No more real cons.

Other: If the sound problem is not general, it's a great choice! Fast CPU, enough memory, 4 GB built in flash memory. Only a bluetooth module is missing with modem function! :-)

Pros: 1. Relatively cheap for its hardware and build
2. Very Very fast, reroutes in software happen very fast to the point that I dint even realize it happened
3. Inbuilt software is easy and convenient to use
4. Screen brightness and volume level of device are very good.
5. FM transmitter works well without any crackling sound etc
6. GPS lock ons are VERY VERY FAST. 35 seconds for cold boot and about 5 seconds for a warm boot.
7. Build quality is excellent.

Cons: 1. touch sensitivity around the corners of the screen are poor. Tried re-calibrating but did not improve. This is not a show-stopper though.
2. Startup time is almost 10-15 seconds, this is quite standard but then again it can be improved.
3. There is a hard reset button in the behind, but its obscure and you will need to take the device from the holder and then use the stylus to reset the device. In my older device though the hard reset button was in the rear I could easily reach to it and then do the reset.

Other: Excellent fast well built device for its price. The hardware specifications are top of the line and only second to the sirf primo chip. Very happy with this purchase.

Pros: The screen resolution and the price are definitely the significant pros of this device.
Also, the navigation software included was the newest one available in my case, which considerably cut the time needed to make this device ready for business.

Cons: The biggest con is the build quality. There seems to be something right behind the screen inside, almost touching it from the back, because every time I grab the device, or even touch it sometimes, the colors are messed up in what appears to be the center of the screen. This makes you feel bad when attaching it to the car holder, because it makes you worry about breaking the display.

Other: If it weren't for the lack of build quality, this would be a perfect choice of a navigation system. Therefore, think twice before buying it. This could, however, be only my case; besides the build quality, it's really nice and helpful.

Pros: A good and fast GPS system that comes with iGO 8 maps. Supports various languages (including Hebrew). Works good with Israeli maps after downloading maps upgrade. Calculates and finds locations quick. The screen is bright enough and the voice is loud and clear.

Cons: Does not hold settings of date, time and location. After turning off the device lost its location, date and time settings so it does not show the right arrival time and night and day maps correctly.

Other: Besides the setting problem I found this device useful. For someone who needs help and direction to get to places without getting lost this GPS is great solution for very low price. For more sophisticated user and professional use you might want to find better product specification but than the price will change too.

Pros: Price, resolution and speed are best qualities of this product. Cold start takes about 30 seconds, hot start - about 10. Very fast to recalculate routes. I use iGo Primo with this device and it works just fine. The windshield mount is very decent (though it may fall occasionally if you live in high temperature area and leave your car in the sun for a long period of time).

Cons: It's a little bit less sensitive to the touch near the edges of the screen, so a harder pressure is needed. The other problem I ran into was crash of the system: the device was just stuck and irresponsive to any touch or button press (not even the turn off button). The solution was to eject the microSD card, reset the device with the reset button on the back and reinsert the SD card. Though I made reset, all the settings were saved, didn't have to set them again. Personally, I would also love to have a bit louder sound and some volume control buttons on the device itself.

Other: If you're looking for a good GPS device for fair price and you don't mind compromising on quality for that - this one is just for you. It surely will do the job of taking you from place to place, and it's just what you need from a GPS device.
