Pros: Quality of video better what at analogues for the same price. Really wide corner of view, speed of survey of 30 fps in HD 720 quality. Software CD included.

Cons: Before the use you need to set up this from PC , I recommend to turn off "auto white balance" and set up timestamp.

Other: You can try this one, but read up my message before. Quality and speed of video is quite good, but there are problems with simplicity of the use.

Pros: It's small, lightweight and quite easy to use if you can figure out how to setup it. Also, it's not that pricey for a camcoder with the size less than cigarette pack.

Cons: 1. First, it's not HD, and 720 is interpolated. Real video size is 640x480, and VGA/HD switch just re-sizes a picture, increasing video size and decreasing its quality because of interpolation. If you're looking for HD quality for $85, you have to search somewhere else. Repeat: NOT HD. Software selection is 640x480 vs 320x240. 2. Picture quality is awful. I hardly distinguish license plate letters on a car that I follow in city cycle (read: 5 meters away). On a highway? No chance. I will try switching to VGA mode to see difference but I hardly believe it would be better. 3. Control buttons and LEDs are on the bottom of the camera, so there's no way to check current status when you're at the wheel and camera is in working position. You have to disconnect it first (meaning you cannot check status while driving), or turn back to you. 4. AVI codec is MJPEG. It means about 800 megs for ten minutes of driving in 1280x720. It's ok, if you want to film only some time prior to incident, but definitely not ok if you want to make full and complete record. So, in case of incident, turn it off as soon as possible because it will overwrite your video in about 10 min for a gigabyte of SD memory. (Audio is Mono PCM 16 bit with 8000 Hz sampling rate in case you're interested). You cannot use it as a surveillance camera either because of obvious reasons (16 G card equals to 3.5-4 hours of video).

Other: It's not a bad thing for the price, but if you want real HD, look for it elsewhere. If I would know, I'd rather spend some more money to buy REAL HD, not a cheap wannabe.
