5.1 Sound Track USB 2.0 Audio Controller

Pros: Works, great sound, microphone and audio jack. Compact and easy to use, it's just plug and play really. Build quality is OK, great if your audio jack is broken and you don't know how to replace it, repair prices are ridiculous, I'd rather use this. It has a better build quality than the rest of the sound cards on dealextreme. I use windows 7 Ultimate, I don't know if it works with XP but I think it does. Packaging is cheap, easy to remove, but it came bubble wrapped so it's not really a problem you could easily sell these in a repair shop as an alternative for 10 dollars each.

Cons: Doesn't work on some of my USB ports, I Really don't know why. I plugged it in another usb port, got the message "Installing drivers" and it worked!

Other: It's good, lasts for a while if you keep it in a safe place if you're not using it.

Pros: Low price Easy installation, I just plugged them into my thunderbolt screen and I immideately could use it. It showed up as "USB Headphones" in sound preferences.

Cons: It is quite noisy, as could be expected in the price range.

Other: Used together with a pair of sensitive headphones (Like Sony in-ear EP-630) it can produce a lot of noise. No problem hearing the audio, but not enjoyable as music listening phones. With a pair of less sensitive phones it's not such a big issue though.

Pros: Sound that comes from this USB device is good. The size is not bigger than a regular USB flash drive, it is pretty handy. Plug it in your computer, let it install itself and then insert your earphones in to it. With my audioport of my laptop being pretty messed up, I found this as a perfect replacement. I can listen to music again without worrying that it will blast over the speakers.

Cons: With regular music I have to set the volume of the USB sound card on 1% (and Media player on regular 100%) to keep my hearing. I was surprised how loud the sound was on only 4% with my earphones plugged in. Besides that, if you plug your headphone/earphones in while you're wearing it, you might hear a loud click/beep sound though the ear channels. I suggest to plug the headphones in first before putting them on.

Other: I'll do it for the price only. Besides that it's great to use :) Just be careful with the volume.
